We came for coffee at about 2:30 on November 23. It was our first time at the Cottage Bakery and we were quit impressed I ordered a cappuccino and my partner ordered a cappuccino with oat milk (she is lactose intolerant which she stated to the waitress). Our friends had coffee, we all had desserts which we selected right away! We were practically finished our desserts before the coffees arrived! The staff are amazing and the place is beautifully done. I have enjoyed the meals I have had here. But I am not sure what has happened but the desserts I had recently were not good. I had the nanimo bar and imperial cookie. They both had an awful sandy texture and not much taste. The pave nicoise slice was just okay. From the food (I had eggs Benedict) to the pastries (Toblerone cake) and coffee, everything we ordered (wife had the Mediterranean eggs, son had the pancakes) was great!
A friend recommended this place to me but didn’t get to go until after our vacation. The wait was worth it and was not disappointed!
