My first visit tonight... the Roti Chicken Shrimp was delicious... probably not fair to comment on the service tonight because they were absolutely swamped with the Dan Frechette 7 the Dylanaires live music crowd... but staff was very friendly

After a long work week, a friend and I decided to pick up Deens on the way home. We chose Deens due to their location, but most of all, their high review on Google. I ordered a jerk chicken dinner and a chicken roti, which came to $29.00 before my $5 tip. While we waited for our food in the seriously dingy, outdated hovel with apparent health code violations, we heard the microwave from the kitchen being pushed on and off, and the door to the microwave being opened and closed repeatedly. Upon returning home to try and enjoy our purchase, we realized that the chicken they use is extremely cheap and full of gristle. Not to mention their non-Jamaican spices on their over-salted, supposed rice. My roti was runny and not your traditional shell - pure chickpea, potato, small bits of sparse chicken dark meat that resembled cat food. After two or three bites, we both looked at each other and accepted that it was inedible. Do not waste your time, money, or stomach here. Deens needs to be leveled. It's absolutely disgusting, to say the least. It's cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for.
The service was phenomenal, super friendly, and had really great recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious, and at such a good price. I will definitely be coming back!
A quiet clean, not fancy place, with very tasty food. Jerk chicken and rice, curry chicken and beef roti, all very nice. We were disappointed that they were out of goat curry but sometimes we can't have what we really want. I saw the chips and chana dish at a nearby table which also looked very good. If you want a tasty bit of the Caribbean stop in. And the prices were very reasonable as well.

I have to share how much I love this place. It's so beautifully local with a great long history. This food is so authentic to its style. The part I really wanna share is that Ken, the owner is totally old school... No delivery just a phone and 40 seats inside. I'd really love to encourage you to come and taste Ken's passion. Do the doubles and a roti... Support our legacy establishments.

Friendly service- brought our baby and she made a bit of a mess and they were very cool in managing. Dinner came quickly. I enjoyed the "Deen's favorite" - chicken with shrimp roti quite a bit. Solid array of sauces and beverage selection for a fair price.
