Food was so good and very fresh.
I ate double what I normally do. I had buffet and every dish I ate was delicious. The waitress was great and cares. She was on top of things and Super kind and happy lady. Highly recommend.
I went there to try their AYCE dimsum. For 18-19$, you get what you paid for. They have around 10-12 dishes for you to grab. And of course if you want you can order on their paid menu on top of the AYCE.
Food were decent. There were fried chicken, fried rice, tofu and veggies, beef and broccoli, egg foo young, stir fried noodle, soups, bao buns and sticky rice, etc. The fried chicken and egg foo young were delish to me!! The other dish was kinda either decent or a meh.
Food wise would be 3.5/5 for the price. But the service was great compared to other chinese restaurants. If you ever go to other restaurants, it's pretty common that you only see your servers when they take you to the table and bring out your dishes then they would just disappear forever. Here, they came back to check, top up your water and tea.
The food of the AYCE area ran out pretty fast when more people arrived. But they kept an eye on it, and refilled everything after 5-10 mins. So if you want to try a variety of dishes for a cheap price, I would recommend going here.
finally checked out Dim Sum Garden on Henderson, and it’s an all-you-can-eat dim sum spot for just under $20, which is pretty wild because I’ve never seen AYCE dim sum before. Overall, it was a solid experience, but let me break it down for you.
**The Pros:**
The variety here is pretty decent. They’ve got shark fin dumplings (which I didn’t expect), regular pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings, sticky rice, steam buns, fried noodles, fried rice, and a good selection of veggies like broccoli. The ginger beef was a standout – really tasty. And surprisingly, the buttery chicken was a hit too! Out of the 12 or so items they brought out, I’d say at least half were things we really enjoyed. For a buffet, it’s not bad at all.
**The Cons:**
The wait times were a bit of a buzzkill. We went on a Sunday around noon, and apparently, it was busier than usual (shoutout to Kirstie and Koi for the intel). The food comes out in small batches, so you’re kinda waiting a while for refills. And when they do bring out a new batch, it’s not a huge amount, so you feel a little guilty taking too much because you know other people are waiting too. If you go on a slower day, this might not be as much of an issue, but it was definitely a thing for us.
**Overall:**
If I’m rating this based on buffet standards (not fine dining, obviously), I’d give it a **3.8 out of 5**. The dumplings taste about the same as what you’d get at a regular dim sum place, so no complaints there. I’m not the biggest buffet fan in general, but if you’re into dim sum and want to try a bit of everything without breaking the bank, it’s worth a shot. Just maybe avoid peak times if you can!
Good selection of dishes. The pork bean curd roll had to be one of the richest and porkiest versions around, I quite liked it. Service was very good! Very friendly, attentive, and prompt. Will be back for the buffet.
They have changed the name to Sum Po. The food has always been good and there is one amazing server.
The problem is that they rip you off when they add up your bill with their calculator. If you add up your bill and when they tell you the amount (never showing you any print out of any sort) so you are to take their word for how much you owe.
We had 3 separate bills at our table and later found out they had charged my bill an extra $10 and the other 2 people an extra $7 each on their bills.
I had called inquiring about the extra charges on my bill and they kept saying it was correct than put me on hold to say it was because we had take out containers. 10 containers equals $21 extra?
My father later went and was charged an extra $6 and he had no take out containers.
Be careful of your bill and take a photo of your order sheet and add it up.
The quality of the dim sum at Dim Sum Garden is not amazing but good enough to satisfy my dim sum cravings, The menu is similar to most places but at least it is consistently good enough and priced fairly in my humble opinion.
Went for the first time the other day and had the Shanghai Chow Mein. Damn good noodles! Probably my favorite in the city so far. The dumplings were also very good! Would recommend checking this place out.
I decided to try this place based on other reviews. So glad I did. They were very helpful with the menu as I had no idea what I was doing. Service was great, and so was the food. I will be back
Overcooked chicken to the point it was inedible. soup was not good, like water with some vegi, will not recomend.
Food is always fresh service is awesome and price is very reasonable. Great place to support.

What a let down. Overcooked chicken to the point it was inedible. Prices are decent though
We usually go to Victoria Seafood for Dim sum. I didn't care for this location when it was open before. Things have changed a lot since then. I'll be going here from now on!

Really wish I could rate it higher but all of our dimsum and dishes were lukewarm at best, tasted off :(c the hot water in the tea tasted off & there were no napkins or usual bowls served. They offered plate and fork only. No napkins! Their dimsum menu is also limited. No pineapple buns, viet spring rolls, etc. Will stick to the downtown dimsum places from now on.
