We went here for dinner after a friend recommended it. We were very happy! The smash burger was awesome. Soft bun, classic smash, fresh big toppings. We also had a poutine and yam fries. It has cheese curds and was classic. Yam fries were crispy and came with a sauce. We will definitely come back for a family day in the park again soon!
Extremely overpriced for the quality. Got a poutine and you'd expect it to be at least somewhat decent in taste and in portion size, but no. Fries were burnt, the gravy was really salty, and the cheese wasn't melted and was rubbery. The box itself didn't have much poutine in it. I've also gotten other things before, like the burgers and sweet potato fries, and those were overpriced and not great quality either. Woman taking orders was kind, tho.
Dougie’s was highly recommended, gave it a try. The food was good but we won’t be back. $11 for a single patty smash burger plus an extra $1 for cheese??? Smash burgers should always be served with cheese.
$41 for 2 single patty smash burgers + cheese, 2 sodas and one order of fries.
That’s expensive for takeout.
Good burger and fries fairly quick service. Great location if your out in the park you can find a nice place for a picnic.

Food always good. Lots of city of Winnipeg workers there all the time but I guess that’s what happens when you get a 25% discount

Got the mushroom smash burger and poutine. Burger was nicely made with fresh toppings and a fresh bun, tasted incredible! Poutine was smothered in gravy and had a hearty serving of actual cheese curds. Was very tasty would come back.

Stopped for icecream. Was informed icecream was a little runny, but it literally toppled over in front of the redheaded server before my kid even got a bite of it. To rectify the issue, the server gave me 3 whole napkins. Whoop de doo, super useful.
Ended up throwing out the $4 icecream. Here's a tip, if your icecream machine isn't working well, offer it only in bowls OR MAYBE just don't offer it at all?
Took the 5 minute trip to go to BDI instead. Waste of money and time.

Gals at front counter were friendly but the food was bad. Even the fries tasted burnt.

Order curly fry poutine. Soggy and the gravy is just straight liquid. Almost like an au jus instead of gravy. Just fries floating in

The prices appear sky-high at first until you realize they have the taxes included within them. Still fairly steep, but damn the food is GOOD.

I don't know how there can be so many 1-star reviews of Dougie's. This place is great. I bet all the low reviews are just people with weak burger game.I had the smash burger with the works, fries, and onion rings. Nice crusty burger. Great flavor. Brioche bun, fresh toppings. O rings were crispy well seasoned and generous portions. Same with the fries, huge portion, well seasoned. Not crispy.Service was pretty good.If I had to look for any fault. I would say I asked for diet Coke and got diet Pepsi and they didn't ask me if diet pepsi is OK. It's never ok, but it's still courteous to ask. I didn't dock them any marks for this lapse in cultural protocol. If you like burgers like the rest of us, then give Dougies a try. I think you'll like it.

I've had the privilege of getting take out at Dougie's twice in the last few weeks. The food and portions were fabulous ? The girl who served me was lovely but it took forever to get my food...both times. Not sure what the hold up was but I feel like it shouldn't have taken that long for a chicken burger or chicken fingers (both delicious BTW). I highly recommend ordering here if you have lots of time to spare.
Kid-friendliness: You order at a window in the front of the building, there are kid friendly options on the menu and it's in a lovely park...seems pretty kid friendly to me
Parking: Really depends on the time, day and weather. Yesterday evening (Saturday) it was packed but the Park was unusually full due to the beautiful weather. I believe you are allowed to pull right up to the building and park right there if you are ordering to go.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a nice wide ramp from the parking lot to the building.
