Some of the reviews made me leary about going, but we had an absolutely fantastic meal at Dowon! Our server couldn't have been nicer, ordering was so easy and the food came out quickly. We ordered combo B which included a chicken, pork, beef and noodle dish, as well as banchan. We loved the atmosphere and that authentic Korean taste that is hard to find in Winnipeg.

I saw this place on tiktok with some decent reviews. However I’m unable to even rate the food as they actively ignored my friend and I by the entrance the entire time. They did not even acknowledge us or inform us to wait for a few minutes (we waited for 10minutes). Other employees were looking at us but did not offer us a table. I’m not sure how great the food here is and if it even is, but regardless it was very poor customer service tonight, and really makes me think twice about bothering to come back.

Food was great. We called to make a reservation for a group of 8. Service was just so so. You order your food by scanning a QR codes, servers were very busy to come by to answer questions about the menu. Food was delicious with reasonable price.

The gjt here is slightly different from the other restaurants’, and it’s in a good way, especially the flavor of beef is particularly outstanding, and the soup seasoning is amazing too. Fried tofu is also a recommended, crispy outside and tender inside. The noodles and onion beef soup are great, with a little bit sweetness.

Food was great but service was awful. The server forgot one of our parties dishes and we only got the food as we were preparing to leave and an order of rice never arrived. The server never apologized and they refused to compensate or give a discount on the late dish.
Love the jjangmyeon here, but the service is too slow.. taking our order took a while with only a few customers.. then waited another 25-30 minutes for our food to be served. If you're dining in, it's better to call in advance.
