Dragon Palace on Portage Avenue in Winnipeg is a fantastic spot for Chinese cuisine, praised for its friendly staff and flavorful dishes. The menu includes a range of popular items like Lemon Chicken, Szechuan Ginger Beef, and Shanghai Noodles. Their Deluxe Wonton Soup, packed with pork, chicken, shrimp, and wontons, is a standout choice that can serve as a full meal. Other customer favorites include Beef Fried Rice, Pork in Hickory Sauce, and the Dragon Palace Special Seafood.

The restaurant is well-regarded for its quick and attentive service, reasonable prices, and generous portions, making it a go-to for families and individuals alike. Parking is available, and the venue is wheelchair accessible, though there is a small step at the entrance.

I have purchased various items from Dragon Palace since I started going there about a year ago. The dishes are very well prepared and very tasty.

I think they are a little on the pricey side but the quality far exceeds every other Chinese restaurant I have tried over the years. I definitely recommend Dragon Palace to anyone looking for true quality.

Called to place an order at 7pm
They weren't delivering anymore
Order was $78.00
When I got it home there was no soya sauce and no fortune cookies
The dry breaded veal was inedible
Couldn't even chew through it!
So rubbery 🤢
Won't be returning

This place is legit!! Their chef is top notch and makes amazing food. Doesn't matter what you order, it's made with care and attention to detail. I've been all over Winnipeg looking for good Cantonese and szechuan and you're in luck. Family day is Tuesday and as such is closed.
Solid 4.5 stars.

Classic Chinese restaurant, think of what your parents ordered, which come on, we all get a craving for. They deliver a great quality, at an INCREDIBLE price (I mean, it seems like they haven't changed their prices since the 70's!). That alone should have you giving them a call when your Chinese jones kicks in. Plus, the staff is great, really friendly, and ready to help.

I tend to be disappointed with Chinese food restaurants. But, this was my first time to Dragon Palace, and we were really impressed! All meat was really tender (especially the beef)! Service was excellent and

Ignore the first Review from 2015 for this Restaurant, Dragon Palace, 3060 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. The food and the Service at Dragon Palace has been very good for many years. Our last meal, December 28th, 2023 was fantastic. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, the meat was tender and flavourful, the proteins (shrimp, chicken) were not over breaded. They were light and crispy. The Won Ton soup was the best we'd ever had. Light, flavourful broth with seasoned pork, chicken and plenty of vegetables. The pork filling in the Won Tons was perfect. As for Service, the lone Server, who was running between other customers, working at the front and answering the phone, still provided prompt and polite service. It would have been nice if she had more help, but this was on a Thursday evening, so possibly a lower traffic time where the Owner felt only one person was needed? Regardless, no complaints about the service and hospitality we received. 5 Stars!!

We have order for Dragon Palace for years and found the food plentyful and delicious. However the last few times we have been expremely disappointed. There seems to be less food, which in these times is understandable. But the quality of food has been extremely disappointing. Our last order included ginger beef which has always been good, but this time it was full of gristle which we could not chew or eat and almost half of it was thrown out. I dont know it the ownership changed or what but we will be looking for a different Chinese food restauraunt for our take out.

Parking: Last few times has not been that busy so street parking available no problem.

We used to live in the area but now come from across the city to eat here. We always order the same thing - dragon palace chow mein, hot and sour pork and honey glazed veal.
