Overall, a great time at Elephant & Castle! It was a little warm inside, but nothing that took away from the experience. The Somersby cider was refreshing and the mule was perfectly mixed. Chicken fingers and fries were a hit—especially the fries, so crispy and tasty! The fish and chips were good, though a bit on the greasy side. I wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw, and the tartar sauce was just okay. But the Big Ben Brownie? Absolutely amazing—rich, gooey, and definitely big enough for two. Would come back again for the dessert alone!

I’ve been in town for business for about a week and have stopped by this pup several times since my arrival to Winnipeg. Some of the servers have this arrogant, rude complex including a woman server who seated me today. It was such lousy, dismissive service that I got up and left abruptly before ordering a meal. I also phoned the manager to complain. He of course said “ya I saw your bad review, we haven’t had one is years”. So many other fabulous places to dine at in this city, I’d think twice about stopping here. Please do better.

If it’s your first time here, get their sausage rolls and wee pie flights (if you can’t decide which pie you wanna try). Their sausage roll may not be like the usual british sausage roll but hey, it’s very tasty.
Their server is very lovely and she’s very engaging. I hope to see her the next time we visit.

Had the Cajun chicken wings, they were over cooked and dry. Also had the Mediterranean chicken skewers, they looked much better on the menu compared to what they looked like in my plate. The skewers of chicken were 1.5 inches long.

I went during Ai-kon (Anime Convention). It was pretty busy because majority of the goers stayed at the Delta Hotel next door.
Food: The food was delicious, can’t really say much about it. Only got appetizers and alcohol.
Service: The staff seemed pretty overwhelmed, it was busy with a lot of people.
Atmosphere: It has a decently nice bar, tables were pretty packed. I do suggest to bring your friends, family and/or partners with you.

Great British sports bar atmosphere and decor. Amazing food and really wide variety of British drinks available. I'd been wanting to try a Pimm's during Wimbledon season and found it here!

When did their menu change?! Used to love their black and blue salad but seems its gone now. But they offered the bacon and blue burger with a lettuce bun so essentially was the same thing! Nice staff.

Slightly disappointing food at a reasonable price.
Myself and my best friend came to The Elephant and Castle. The food was delicious. We had the blue cheese burger, Caesar salad, Ale and onion soup and roasted tomato feta app. All were well prepared and fantastic. We received excellent service and a warm welcome from Cassandra and Elishah. I would recommend!! Special thanks to Cassandra.

We were a group of 4 coming in for lunch on Saturday and unanimously decided it was by far the worst service we’ve ever had. It took 20 minutes to get a menu, food was dropped off for 1 person who finished half their meal before anyone else’s food was delivered, no one asked how our meal was, there were no water refills and another 30 minute wait before we could ask for our bill. We were so forgotten about we actually found a different server to ask for our bills, who flagged our server for us. Once again, no bills were delivered even after asking for them so we found the other server again to ask. When the bills were dropped off the server simply put them on the table, said “thanks” and walked away. It took another very long amount of time to the point where I got up to go find someone that worked there how to pay the bill. “Oh we’ll send your server to your table”. Horrible, horrible service. We were basically begging to be able to pay our bill and I’m positive we could’ve just left without paying and our server would have never noticed given the lack of service we had the entire time we were there which was way longer than it should’ve been.
