A few of us just tried the mixed platter today and it was really good! I thought each of the dishes included was great, including the bread. Hope to catch the truck again!

This food is so delicious! I try to get it at the St.Norbert farmer's market whenever I see it there.

This is one of the few food trucks that I will bother waiting in line for these days. The price is better than most and the meal is always satisfying. There's a lot of heart in the recipe. Thankful for the veggie options even though I'm not vegetarian. And that injera always serves!

What an amazing treat it was having this truck set up at our community festival. The food was amazing!

I was excited to try the 2 meat/2 veg dishes at the St Norbert Farmers Market. I substituted the spinich for a lentil which was great. All of the selections were very bland and the beef had a gritty texture.
I would try it again and tell her to pump the heat up but I’m not sure that would help - it was just lacking in flavor.

I always see Engocha at the local markets and finally decided to try it this week. I ordered the mixed combination plate and everything was hot, fresh, and packed with flavour; I couldn't decide which one was my favourite, though the chicken was a standout for having just the right amount of spice for my preference. The injera was SO good I could have kept eating it by itself. I don't know if I'll be able to walk past the truck anymore without ordering again! Thanks for an awesome meal!

As an Ethiopian I have to say that I am disappointed!!! I ordered the meat combo and the red meat stew was so oily that the enjera was soaked and I had to throw it out, which sucked because that was the only enjera that was provided with the order! The chicken was tasteless and the shiro, chickpea stew was average! The enjera was way too thick!

As an ethiopian and having homemade dishes growing up all my life, this is the closest it gets to my moms cooking. Thank you for letting me reconnect with my inner child and moms love. Excellent in every area across the board.

After following them online for a while, I finally had a chance to try Engocha’s food today and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the mixed combination and the vegetarian combination and both were phenomenal. The injera was fluffy and delicious and each component of the meals were perfectly seasoned, and flavourful without being greasy. Their injera is made from 100% teff flour which is naturally gluten free. I have not found another restaurant in the city that serves gluten free injera without a minimum of 2 days notice. Do yourself a favour and try their food. You won’t regret it.

Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly.

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a truly delightful culinary experience at Engocha that left me craving for more! From the moment I took my first bite of their delectable Berbere chicken firfir, I knew I had stumbled upon something extraordinary. The flavors of the Berbere chicken were simply outstanding. The tender, succulent chicken pieces were simmered to perfection in a rich blend of aromatic spices, creating a symphony of taste that was both comforting and invigorating. The dish had a nice balance of heat and subtle tanginess, making each bite an adventure for my taste buds. Aside from the incredible taste, the portion size was generous, leaving me fully satisfied. The combination of the flavorful chicken, accompanied by injera (traditional Ethiopian flatbread), created a harmonious marriage of textures and flavors that was both filling and satisfying. What truly impressed me about this Ethiopian food truck was the authenticity of their cuisine. It felt like a culinary journey to Ethiopia. It was evident that the chef had a deep understanding of Ethiopian flavors and cooking techniques, ensuring an authentic and unforgettable experience. The service at the food truck was exceptional. The staff members were warm, friendly. They patiently answered all my questions, providing recommendations and ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. In conclusion, if you're looking to embark on a culinary adventure that will transport you to the vibrant and diverse flavors of Ethiopia, this food truck is an absolute must-visit! Their chicken firfir alone is worth the trip. With its remarkable taste, generous portions, and attentive service, this Ethiopian gem on wheels has certainly won my heart—and my taste buds!
