We celebrated my 50th birthday here last night. Everything was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed my bison curried stew and the rest of the group said their food was excellent. The ambience is warm and cozy. We enjoyed looking at their decors. Best of all was the top-notch service of the staff. We would be back there. Definitely recommend the place.
We tried to make a reservation by email for a large party and got no response back so we phoned and got no answer. We showed up anyway and were accommodated quickly.
We put in our order and when our food was served they forgot the side of bannock to a couple well plated meals and didn’t accommodate the request of no cranberries on the Chicken cranberry burger.
When it came to the bill we were expecting it to be costly. It’s great locally sourced homemade food. Bad service usually turns people away but I’ll definitely be back, foods too good to hold a grudge.

A Culinary Hug from the Heart of Winnipeg 🌟
Feast Café Bistro isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience rooted in Indigenous pride, tradition, and hospitality.
I came in for brunch… and left with something deeper.
What I ordered:
• BBQ Bison Ribs – fall-off-the-bone tender, rich in flavour, worth every second of the wait.
• Sweetgrass Iced Tea – herbal, refreshing, and unexpectedly calming. Like sipping a story.
• Bonus: the staff were incredibly kind and cooked the bison for me even though it wasn’t on the brunch menu. Indeed true legends.
The space feels warm, inclusive, and grounded
a quiet celebration of Indigenous culture through food. They use traditional ingredients like bannock, wild rice, sweetgrass, and bison, bringing them into delicious modern dishes that tell a story.
Final Verdict:
This isn’t fast food. This is food with a soul.
It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, appreciate the roots, and remember why food is about connection.
Whether you’re a local or visiting Winnipeg, don’t miss this hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a nice meal at Feast, our waitress was very friendly and helped make it a nice relaxed experience.. maybe too relaxed, as things moved very slowly. I think they run a tight ship, she seemed to be the only waitress running the dinner service, which meant there was long periods between food, drink refills and the bill.
The food was solid with decent portions. I wish there was more interesting apps, many seemed similar to the mains so we didn’t really try many.
We left happy and very full.

The shredded bison poutine was amazing! I didn’t sit in, so can’t speak to the atmosphere of the restaurant, but the food sure was delicious and it was a big portion!

I can't believe it took me so long to get to Feast! We've used them to cater events at work, and the food and communication has always been great! But in person, wow! I had assumed it would be difficult to park, or get a table, but both were not true. We parked across the street around the corner and there was lots of seating. Early dinner friday before a Fringe show was the way to go!
The food was amazing, and lovely welcoming atmosphere. I had the chicken cranberry burger, but will be back to try more of the menu.

had high hopes and was excited as ive heard good things in the past.
we made sure to make a reservation as we had tickets to a fringe show next door. vibes were good and we all loved the atmosphere.
unfortunately we waited over an hour for our food, we had to scarf everything down as fast as possible and get take out boxes because we barely had enough time to go next door.
while waiting for the food i noticed our plates sitting under the heat lamps on the line. hoped it wasnt ours but unfortunately when our food finally came my bison burger definitely left in the window too long. the patty was dry, the top of my bannock bun shattered from being dry & my side caesar salad was hot from the heat lamp on the line. had two bites and packed it to go. other table guests were also disappointed but their food was more edible. in my opinion all the food we had served to us definitely died in the window and should not have been served.
pretty disappointed, didnt want to leave a bad note but i hope we just came on a bad day.

We came to visit for dinner on a hot night soon after the restaurant’s opening for the evening service. We were seated at a two top bar table right away.
Being somewhat excited to taste the food we order off the rotating menu board and the standard menu to get an idea of what this restaurant is like.
Tasty.
We didn’t mind but were out of water with no refills before our main course came.
We had to have the previous plates cleared when food came out due to the very small size of the table. We would have stayed for dessert except the sound level was greatly increasing as diners trickled in for dinner and lack of something to drink.
Great art and every possibility of a great experience. Too hot and thirsty to really enjoy.

This is a hidden gem! The food is amazing, staff are so friendly & they use local foods. A huge menu (check before going bc it's so hard to choose) & your experience will keep you coming back. Their lilac blueberry lemonade tasted like summer ☀️
Make sure you grab the 6 pk of fry bread before leaving!
