Five Guys in Winnipeg

“Hands down the best fast food burger. I love the range of customization that you get for free and the veggies are always fresh, they even use fresh jalapeños which is nice. They cook their bacon extra crispy which is just how I like my bacon. The buns are good quality and don’t fall apart. They’re also one of the few burger places in Winnipeg that make a real poutine with cheese curds, which is delicious and big enough to feed two people and they’re not skimpy with the gravy (looking at you, Dairy Queen). On that note, their portion sizes are big and chances are that you will get a mountain of fries. They also put very little to no salt on their fries but they’re good enough without it. Their milkshakes are also very good. They also don’t use paper straws that disintegrate within 5 minutes, instead opting to use agave straws. They also use wooden cutlery instead of plastic, which is much less likely to break. They’re well-staffed and won’t leave you waiting at the counter. Service is on the faster side, even during peak hours I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes for my food.“

The staff at the counter was excellent. She had great customer service.
As per the rest? There was a lot of staff and they basically talked among themselves. Not much interaction with customers. We had to wait longer than I expected given how many staff were on.
The free peanuts were great, but I didn't know where to put the shells. So we just shelled them on the table and did our best to clean up afterwards.
Atmosphere is no great shakes.
A good place if you want an upscale from fast foods like burger king etc.
I'd suggest trying to make something on the menu that's unique to your store if possible.“

“Love, love, love, their burgers! They are best eaten fresh in the restaurant. If you take out or get delivery they are good but the buns have absorbed some of the burger juice and tend to fall apart. Their fries are delicious, crispy and so fresh! They are always so generous with servings that a small is plenty for 2 of us!“

“Do not enter building if you have a nut allergy! While you wait for your order free unshelled peanuts are available to eat at your table. Which I enjoyed, but for others with nut allergies, I think it is a statement being made that they cannot guarantee nut free options.
Very friendly, helpful people work here.
The special part is you pick what kind of burger you want ie) double patty, vegetarian etc. You choose from toppings they vocally list off ie) onions, cooked mushrooms, peppers, pickles, mayo, etc. ask for extra of toppings at no cost. (Extra cheese you are charged. Fries made on site and they post what sort of potatoes they are using each day by the order area. One order of fries can be easily shared by 2 or 3 adults.
You fill your own drink with free refills.
You wait for your order by the counter or sit at a table until your number is called, which is found at the bottom of your receipt.
Stay in and eat or take out option is available, but all orders given to you in a bag. Utensils, and napkins on the counter for you to take.“
