Gimli Fish Market on Dufferin is a locally owned retailer which has not abandoned the community that they are located in. Not necessarily going to cater to everyone's tastes, to each their own. Sure, you're not getting Costco prices, but they don't have the buying power of a multinational corporation. Great selection of seafood and locally caught fish. (pickerel, whitefish and goldeye) Excellent customer service from knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Gimlis carries locally caught fish. They also have a huge assortment of seafoods like lobsters, mussels, smoked fish, king crab legs, tuna etc. I usually buy a lot of seafood to take back home and travel with it for 5 hours.Gimlis staff make sure that they are properly packed in styrofoam.
Very friendly staff . Don't always have what I'm looking for , but that's seafood on the prairies . The prices are usually reasonable . They may not always have what I'm craving , but the selection between the fresh and the frozen is still very good .
