Wonderful little restaurant with absolutely delicious food and warm, friendly service. Our main entrees and dessert were so impressive that I wanted to leave a review to say how much I appreciated them. If you are looking for authentic Caribbean food in a cozy, island vacation atmosphere, definitely give this place a try.

It is so difficult to find Caribbean food in Vancouver so I seek it out when travelling. There are several places of note in Winnipeg. Gladys did not disappoint the goat curry was excellent! Friendly service, good value, delicious! The goat was Manitoba goat, so tasty!

“Half chicken” for 25 bucks and it feels like I got a chicken breast and a bite of a leg if that. I dont think i should still be hungry after eating half a chicken. I read the other reviews about small portions and I didn’t wanna believe them but they are true. The chicken was OK I guess I thought it was j*** chicken but there’s barely any seasoning or flavour and it was dry. One time I had j*** pork from Miss Christine’s and it was literally 3x the meat or more for a similar price.

Took my dad this weekend for some oxtail and it was fabulous! Firstly, while we were waiting for our take out order, Gladys gave us complimentary lemonade which was simply delicious! We tried not only the braised oxtail, but the oxtail bowl, ( her take on it with the corn, and salsa and fried plantain pieces is an absolute must!! ) Thank u Gladys! We will definitely see you again soon!!!

Okay this is hands down one of the best spots in the city. The food is flavorful and full of spices, the service is good, the people are great and dining in was a great experience. Good atmosphere and good food, high quality and priced well. Tell your friends!!!

The best Jamaican food in Winnipeg! This is our third time here, and the food is phenomenal. The service is great, and the decor is good with excellent Reggae music playing. I don't know why it took us so long to find this place.

If you are looking for a new restaurant, Glady's Caribbean Kitchen is it!We ordered the dinner specials so we could try more variety. I wish I had taken pictures as the presentation was beautiful! The aroma delights you as you enter the restaurant. By the time you finish ordering, you are ready to dive in because everything smells so good! From the goat soup, oxtail puffs, chicken curry, and finishing off with a decadent rum cake , our entire meal was an explosion of the most amazing flavors!!!!!!I highly recommend this place.

We had a fantastic meal tonight! The j*** chicken, oxtail, shrimps and snapper were amazing. We were treated like family by the staff and owner. I strongly encourage you to treat yourself to an excellent Caribbean meal. We will be back!

Customer services was on point, the food was fresh. I got the oxtail, curry Goat and Fry Chicken. The Oxtail had way too much pepper, all that wonderful oxtail taste was ruined thanks to all that pepper, The fry chicken was spicy as well, but still had a wonderful taste and flavor, that will be my go to, definitely a 9 out 10. The Curry goat has a wonderful taste, a little spicy, but the all flavors still come together nicely. Summary: Fry chicken and Curry goat have a wonderful taste and is a bit spicy but the flavors come together nicely, the Oxtail had way too much pepper to the point were you can't taste any flavor only pepper. Take away: use less pepper and maybe keep extra pepper on the side if customer needs or want it.

Don’t let the outside/ neighbourhood fool you.It was my first time trying Jamaican food and it was definitely an easy 11/10.The food plus presentation was amazing. The rating that they have is well deserved!Inside the place is tidy and clean, and would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to try Jamaican food.

We’ve ordered a few items before from Skip and really enjoyed their food. Went here for lunch today to try other dishes from their menu and they didn’t disappoint. We had jerked chicken wings, house special fried chicken and the Jamaican curried goat - everything served on our table was hot and fresh. The jerked chicken was well marinated and not over cooked; the fried chicken has really good spice rub, lightly breaded but crispy. The curried goat was not gamy and the meat was very tender and flavourful. Staff was super nice and friendly. Tip: they serve a generous portion so come hungry. Will be back again for sure!

My husband and I have been on the lookout for some good Jamaican Pattie’s In Winnipeg ever since we had some in Florida. We ordered from Gladys and oh my goodness they are the best we’ve ever had so delicious! We look forward to trying other things on the menu.
