Whenever I travel to Winnipeg, my first stop for food is usually Habanero Sombrero. They have a great menu, and my personal favourite is their fish tacos. I can never get enough of them, and I always expect them to be fresh, which I love. The portion size is just right, and the prices are reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I believe that The Forks has come a long way and made many changes to keep up with the times without losing its historical charm. The eco-friendly atmosphere is great, and if you're in Winnipeg looking for amazing tacos, you definitely need to check out this place.Parking: Finding parking can be a challenge during certain times, especially during lunch hours, weekends, and holidays. The parking facility requires payment through an app. However, there is still one machine available for payment located in front of the Pancake House entrance.Kid-friendliness: This establishment is suitable for children and they will also enjoy the food served here.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible foe those who have assistive device.

Born and raised Mexican, living in New York for 10 years, came to visit Winnipeg for the first time, I WAS SURPRISED HOW GOOD EVERY SINGLE TACO WAS! I asked for more limes because well, again, I am Mexican and that's what we do, and they were so kind to just cut some limes in half like we do in Mexico and I returned the little chunks of lime they have because I didn't want to waste them, ALL WITH A BIG SMILE IN THEIR FACE! in any other place they would have been annoyed by me, so to wrap it up AWESOME SUPER GOOD BUENISIMOS TACOS IN WINNIPEG AND AWESOME PEOPLE! my beautiful country is so very well represented at this place in your beautiful country, Muchas Gracias!??♥️??

Love that they are dedicated gluten free! Makes me feel very safe as someone with a gluten allergy. I tried the chicken, shrimp, and fish tacos. The fish taco was by far the best, definitely have that if you give them a try! The others I would say aren’t worth the steep prices, but I’m from the states and used to very flavorful, authentic Mexican food.

I had not been to this restaurant before, but shared the nachos and cod tacos with my husband on Friday night. The entire menu is gluten free, which is amazing, especially when it comes to food being fried, if it's all gluten free then there is no cross contamination! It's such a relief when you know you can choose anything off the menu. The food was delicious, you can see and taste the fresh ingredients and the portions were very generous. The service was great too, such friendly people, and our food did not take long to prepare. We will definitely be going back to this place. I ordered Nachos with extra jalapeno. There were no extra jalapenos and the nachos bearly had cheese on them. It was just the chips. I would not recommend eating nachos there.

This place is incredible! The nachos are to die for! The portions are huge and one plate easily feeds 3. And I say that as 2 fat and sassy people who could not finish the plate. 100% recommend! And always take people here who are visiting! Great job guys!
Great food! Great staff! As someone with celiac disease it is a rare find in Winnipeg to have a dedicated gluten free menu and kitchen and I greatly appreciate this. The fact that the GF food is super tasty is awesome.
