Got Kitfo and Chacha Tibs. The Chacha Tibs was burnt and not edible. The meat was burnt and hard to chew. The portion sizes were small compared to other habesha restaurants and the price for the food quality and quantity was too high. After eating I started experiencing stomach pains and believe I have food poisoning as a result from eating their food. I was excited to try a new habesha place but was very disappointed to say the least. Would not recommend. Also when I came to pick up my food the service wasn’t the best as the lady who was there kept talking to someone else in another language and not really acknowledging me which made me feel uncomfortable and awkward.

This is fast becoming my favourite go-to for cultural food. The food is always amazing, the hostess Mimi is super warm and welcoming and the overall experience is just stellar! I definitely recommend Habesha to anyone who's seeking an authentic cultural food experience.

As a Habesha, the “Beg Tibs” I ordered was The worst Tibs I got in my entire life. Small in size, not enough injera , it was filled with water not meat. Paid $20 for nothing. Adding insult to injury, the service by the lady who processed the payment.was disrespectful, dry and oblivious. Never again, pls Avoid ordering food from this restaurant otherwise you will buy disappointment and anger with your own money. There’s No parking if you are driving . U have to park on adjacent streets blocks away.

We had an amazing experience. We were unsure what to order so Mimi, the owner, recommended for us and said "if it is not enough, do not worry, I will feed you." From beginning to end we felt care for and provided for - not to mention that the food was delicious!

I dine here often and I can guarantee this is the best habesha food in Winnipeg. The tips, the chacha, and the quanta firfir are my favorites here and would recommend it 100% to anyone who wants to experience habesha food.

Habesha Restaurant's food is the best Habesha food in town. I fully it recommend to anyone who wants to try habesha food. While at it I would also like to recommend her traditional coffee, tastes amazing with all the traditional spices and is served in the traditional coffee pot.
The place smelled good right off, maybe a combination of food and incense. The owner was welcoming, and the vegetarian combo plate on injera was spectacularly tasty, plentiful enough for two, and very affordable at $18 before tax and tips. I can't wait to go back!

This the best Ethiopian restaurant in Winnipeg. The atmosphere is however is not the greatest to have a conversation over a meal. They always playing very very loud music. Really uncomfortable.
