the service and atmosphere are great but the food especially their steaks which is their flag carrier is not good as what other review stating- first the steak served cold as a feet -the flavor ruins the taste of the beef it self.it was dry even i ordered medium rare- no juicy at all. I wud say over flavoring- the grilled cheese tasted like a foam rubbery textured.
We picked Hermanos for our wedding anniversary celebration this year because of all the rave reviews we’ve heard.
I excitedly made a reservation. We got to the restaurant and were seated. Lots of open tables in the restaurant. We sat and looked at the menu for a while. Talked for a while. I noticed several women looking at their wrist watches. The couple next to us got up from their dining table and went to the bar to order drinks. You really shouldn’t have to leave the table to go order a drink once you are seated in a place like this.
We saw several wait staff serving tables in other areas. We were never greeted. No water offered. No drink order placed. No promises to be right with us. Not one single staff member made eye contact with us. We were never even acknowledged. The couple next to us were treated very poorly with a waiter laughing at a customer as she was obviously very displeased with what he served her. I overheard her saying “you should at least check it before you bring it out to the customer”. I could hear she was very mad and he was grinning and laughing at her.
I can’t review the food because after 35 minutes of absolutely nothing and the scene we witnessed we left the restaurant.
How do you stay in business like this?
*Tip: the prices online on their website do not match the price in the restaurant, prices in the restaurant are substantially higher. The menu is also different.
The empanadas as entrance is a good choice, really variable and delicious. The steak I chose was really yummy, but I wasn't expecting it to come with so many fries, just steak and fries, I feel that steak could be served with fewer fries and something else.
I haven't been to Hermano's in a very long time but I remember the food being very good. My first impression back after nearly 10 years was that the staff were much more attentive ! Disappointing was the condition of the menus - was super dirty with lots of different oil stains, bits of dried food stuck on the menu, crumpled... not a good impression.
I ordered the empanadas, which were deep fried. I must say, it was a huge portion, and i could only eat 1/3 of it. My partner, he had the picaña, ordered medium rare but came out well done AND It was pre-sliced.
The best part of the meal was the calamari starter - most excellent.
House wine is very good.
Price point, very good.
They no longer make their incredible house-made Portuguese bread - it was the best in the city.
1000th! :) been there 15+ years ago. was really good. going back next week!
Came for dinner and it was lovely. Our server Calli was excellent! She was so kind, attentive, and informative about the menu!
A mixed review for this restaurant. We had a reservation and we were celebrating a family engagement. It took almost 1 hour for the waitress to come and take our order. For the drink order she said she would be back and would never come back. We asked several times. We finally gave up after the wine order. Our reservation was for 6:30, and the place was pretty empty when we got there. It filled up pretty quick after. when we finally got our food order taken, she came back from the kitchen and said they had no more mashed potatoes. And that the fries were better anyways. Now the restaurant was getting empty again, so I thought maybe better service. I had wishful thinking. She came by and said the engaged couple would receive a special desert on the house, but ran away before anyone had a chance to ask if they had a desert menu. At this point it was useless to try and ask for anything else. She was guaranteed a 20% tip because we were 10 people, and it was added to the bill already. Now the food was pretty good. And the atmosphere is great. Live band playing, maybe a bit loud, but they were good. The kitchen is who deserved the tip and not the waitress. I don't like it when my review is more on service than food. But in this case the service is what I had to focus on. This restaurant could have made a few hundred extra dollars, if only the waitress would have paid a bit of attention, and actually gave us some service.
So glad that we went here as the food was divine plus the service was impeccable!
Ordered empanadas, steak, and the paella; paella was star of the show. Service was great.
Good food good service

Great lunch! Meeting today was awesome on there patio. So many great options to choose from seriously was hard to choose! Enjoyed a great sunny day on the patio for this meeting today. Have been for dinner before as well and it’s been amazing great selections of food and drink. Steak and wine is an amazing dinner pairing. Would recommend if down town. Great for a nice lunch and or a nice dinner.
Very good appetizers, main entry (seafood paella) had too much tomatoes, and bad night for dessert (half of their option they were out of). Finally, the service was very good.
Low quality meat for stakes with connecting tissue that was hard to chew and MICE infestation!
Had high hopes to try out a new place, with good reviews on the Big board Paella. Thought of celebrating the wife's birthday dinner with it. We requested to remove sausage and chicken for religious reasons and the server was kind enough to say we will add more sea food. They ended up removing fish too, from a sea food paella ! It only had prawns and 8 mussels in it.
It would have been nice if I was informed they dont have fish or if they made it a point to say we will balance it with more sea food.
We had a good meal, which could have been better.
My fiancé and I visited this place on 2025 Valentine’s Day, and we were impressed by the lamb chops included in the Tango board—so flavorful, even without sauce! For appy, we tried the Queijo de Coalho and Calamari. We weren’t huge fans of the calamari (it was very breaded and the salsa was a bit watery tasting), we think Opa!’s calamari is much better. The Queijo was good, especially when paired with honey, as recommended by our server. We even used the honey with the sausage from the Tango board, and it was delicious, I recommend that combo for sure!
For dessert, we ordered Latin Crepe which felt like it was missing vanilla ice cream for more texture and flavor. The live music did add nice touch to the experience. The price range is definitely on the higher end, and while the some of the food was tasty, I’m not sure if it’s quite worth the price.
