Been going for years, best sushi place in Winnipeg hands down, introduced my better half as well neither of us have had sushi anywhere else in atleast 3 years. Reasonably priced as well, some items get up there a bit but have always turned out well deserved

Ordered through door dash. We were big fans of the Double Salmon roll and the shrimp tempura roll. We weren't as fond of the scallop roll and unagi roll we had but that may be personal preference. All rolls were extremely fresh. Prices were good.

We absolutely love this sushi place and have been loyal customers for a long time. The quality of the food is always great, and it’s our go-to spot for takeout. However, we’ve had an ongoing issue with our orders missing the Las Vegas roll. It’s happened three separate times now, and unfortunately there’s never been any compensation or acknowledgment when the mistake is brought up. I’ve had to go back there to pick it up when this happens and the sushi is far less enjoyable by the time I get home for the second time.

We still enjoy the sushi here, but the repeated oversight and lack of customer service follow-through has been disappointing. Hopefully the team can improve consistency with takeout orders, because when everything is correct, the food is fantastic.

Ordered on ubereats for pickup. Salmon wasn’t fresh. Gave me stomach problems. I guessed they put so much variety of sauces (which tasted terrible) to cover up the stale salmon but I could still taste it, and my stomach didn’t lie. The portion of the Miso Soup is petty as shown in the second picture. Why do you have to do that when you literally make these soups with pre-ordered chemical powder? Plus I told the staff in front of his face that I don’t want chopsticks and ginger. Don’t know why he made the decision to skip the soy sauce for me as well. It’s a miracle that this food establishment has lasted for years in this neighbourhood. Sage Creek deserves better restaurants that won’t give you food poisoning.

Food was just so so....I got an Alaska roll, the salmon was not very fresh. The green onions in the Negi toro roll is also not fresh...

Server was good, and friendly and didn't need to wait for a table.

The food though is quite disappointing.

My wife and I had dinner at Hiro sushi and for the most part I enjoyed the food and dining experience except for a couple of issues I would have given this place a solid 4 stars.

To begin with, we ordered miso soup and were pleasantly surprised that it was quite good but the serving size was a tad too small.

Next up was the shrimp tempura which was fried exceptionally well and we even munch on the tail ends, I would have liked to have the shrimp head included and fried to the same perfection that would be awesome.

My wife and I tend to prefer sashimi and nigiri over rolls so we ordered a variety to sample what Hiro sushi has to offer.

The salmon sashimi was good but the tuna sashimi was mushy and was disappointing. Same with the Toro tuna, texture was mushy and seems like it was thawed improperly.

Good news is everything else was quite good and was of very food quality. I would prefer a bit more vinegar in my sushi rice but it was fine as is.

I am hoping the disappointment on those couple of items were just a fluke and chuck it in as a bad day for the tuna. As it stands I am giving Hiro sushi a 3.5

One of the best sushi spots in the city. The fish is always fresh, the rolls are well-made, and everything is presented beautifully. Service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is chill and comfortable. The Mango Tango Roll is a standout — fresh, flavorful, and just the right mix of sweet and savory. Definitely a go-to spot if you’re looking for quality sushi in Winnipeg
