I'm sorry but I don't think I will be back. The blonde barista was on her phone when I got there. When she finally looked up, she seemed annoyed that I interrupted her social media time. She took a long time getting my order filled. I hadn't even left the counter and she sat right back down and this time took her foot wear off and started rubbing her bare feet🤢!!! I was so very disgusted and I threw my drink and sandwich in the garbage. I couldn't even drink and eat any of it after seeing this sight. The other two gals that work there have always been so very amazing and enjoyable! I might return if they are at the counter. But if the blond one is there I will keep walking and go to a different coffee shop!

Human Bean Coffee & Tea at Cityplace Mall is hands down my go-to coffee spot in Winnipeg! Every morning, I stop by for my favorite drink—the Headbanger, and let me tell you, it does exactly what the name suggests! It’s the perfect jolt of energy to get me going for the day. Strong, smooth, and just what I need to wake up.
What makes this place even better is the amazing staff. They are always super friendly and welcoming, and they remember my drink order every single day! There’s something special about walking in and having them greet me like a regular—it makes my mornings so much better.
If you’re looking for a place with great coffee, a cozy atmosphere, and staff that truly cares about their customers, Human Bean is the place to be. Highly recommend checking them out!

The employees are racist, been here for 20 minutes, she acted so different between white people and indigenous people, shaking her head at indigenous people when they bought something and then of course all giggles and smiles for white people.

Lunch options look good, but are insanely overpriced. $15.95 plus tax for a pre packaged salad is insanity. The blonde woman who works at the till is also not very friendly… as an office worker in the area, I just go upstairs to the food court…
This is a real gem in Cityplace. I will say, the prices are a little bit high (on par with local shops, though!), but the quality and service are 100% better than what you'll get at Tim's or McDonald's. I work in the building and get coffee here most days. I purchased lunch here once and it was excellent. I often purchase the baking, as well... Imperial Cookies are perfection, muffins are tasty, and the raspberry cheesecake brownie is to die for. The seating area is lovely for coffee breaks.

Blonde barista didn’t seem like she was in a good mood when she took our orders (was texting before she noticed us at the front) - this is not the first time we have experienced this. We feel like we are inconveniencing her. We decided we will try to go when the other two ladies are there as they are a joy to talk to and do business with.
