IGI BBQ & Sushi Bistro

A delightful evening overall, lots of options and a good atmosphere. The sushi is good, the Korean BBQ is better.

$46 per head for me is a bit pricey. Below $40 would be fine.

Good place to visit. I would recommend

I used to like IGI. But I won’t recommend this place anymore. It’s too pricy now. The salmon sashimi that I ordered was not fresh and tastes bad. Everything is just average. The service got worse and worse.

This was an unfortunate experience. The food was mediocre but everything stuck to the grill and they never came by to oil it or add anything to help.. so by the last half everything just tasted burnt. They said it was an extra 10$ to turn the second grill on so we had to reach over and cook all our food on one tiny grill. Would be fine for 2 people but not more than that… having to pay $10 extra for a grill in front of you seemed over the top and that they were cutting corners. We never got asked if we wanted any drinks also. I think I prefer Seoul bbq :)

Amazing

For the price you its purely experience ive had better quality items off the menu from other restaurants that are hot pot buffets and shushi buffets half the price i feel this place prides it self more of its name and environment more than its quality the only thing worth while is the waygu

Was a great experience and the staff were friendly. The beef was really tasty.

This is perhaps the worst Korean BBQ experience I've ever had. They have no banchan (side dishes), no Korean beer, no perilla lettuce wraps, no ssamjiang sauce... Basically anything that makes Korean BBQ unique apart from the 'cook it yourself' functions...

To top it off, I am also now laying in bed writing this review with severe food poisoning.

Avoid at all costs

Our party had no reservation. We were lucky to get a table as there was a cancelation. The sign on the door said that it was by reservation only.

Service is OK. Quick to pick up empty dishes. Food is decent and tasty. Some rolls have more rice than I prefer. Kitchen items came at good time. It's nice to see hamachi on an AYCE menu. It is a place for a fun night out.

For the variety of being able to have Korean BBQ and sushi, I think it's work it relative to other places in town. It's pricey that I won't be coming often. But I'll return.

Edit: Had to update my review as this place went downhill as much as the price went up. I use to love this place and would go for their brunch all the time. The price was great. Now the brunch doesn't exist anymore and dinner is a staggering $45 for the AYCE. If you look through the pictures here, the rolls look like someone hit the with a hammer and served them to you. They use to have rolls that were some of the best in the city and now they look a mess and there is barely anything in them. I was disgusted that I had to show the server that there was literally nothing inside the roll I had.. The long timers will always go back and they could charge $150 and just dish out slop and they would still be packed so nothing will ever get better. IGI, you were my favorite but it's GG and time to 👋

Customer service of the staff 100/100. They are incredibly proactive and there is rarely an empty plate on the table or an empty glass. They definitely earn the gratuity that is imposed on the total.

Food is so good. Probably the best in the city and other than the sushi, you have a Korean BBQ as well. AYCE sashimi, what more can you ask for?

Once went to Sushi Jet because this place was closed on Tuesdays. Don't make the same mistake I did. That place is awful.

Food was amazing

Our go to place for Korean BBQ! So many choices, and also with Sushi. My little one love the Tempura! And they have free ice cream as well!!

One of my favorite restaurants in winnipeg. Been eating there since day one.

First of all, you need a reservation. You get a 2 hour session but that is lots of time. The service is fantastic, very quick and always cleaning up empty platters and checking up on you. You cook on grill at your table. They can replace the grills if get too burnt and give you fresh one. So many food options. Love the meat selection. Highly recommend coming to the restaurant!
