Great experience, solid menu and wonderful atmosphere/setting. Kudos the staff and students that run this gem! Ps the Pork Belly was top notch!

I was really looking forward to this spot and was pleasantly delighted not only with the food, which surpassed expectations but the server was a delight.

This is a learning establishment so I keep this in mind as I write this. The service was, let's just say the server was very new to the hospitality realm.
I had gnocchi with cream pesto and prawns. It was terrible, gnocchi were huge, heavy and rectangular. I only ate a couple, prawn were okay but not even noticeable in the over powering amount of pesto, no trace of cream sauce.
Smoked salmon salad, not great, salmon was previously frozen. Butternut squash soup was okay.
I the hospitality students were being watched carefully and coached as they served.
The culinary students, I'm not so sure, I was facing the kitchen and I saw no evidence of this. There were students drinking from their personal water bottles right at the food prep counter, which I'm sure is not good practice.
The quality of the food, I feel like the gnocchi should not be served, they just don't cut it. My dining partner's wild rice fries were also terrible. These items were not up to snuff and should be taken off the menu or improved.
Having said this, I will return, I want to be supportive of RRC. However there is definitely room for improvements on how the culinary students present themselves and what they are doing in the food prep area as well as the quality of some of the dishes on the menu. It should be better than what a novice home cook would make. This is not on the students, instructors need to pull up their socks on the culinary end.

This place is absolutely extraordinary. It's thrift RR college cooking and hospitalit
Vy training. The food matches anything I've ever eaten at literally half the price. The waitstaff are eager and quick and when they make the occasional error it is rectified very quickly

I was excited to be trying Jane's culinary school restaurant as well as getting to see the eye-catching building design. Dinner reservations are hard to get here if you don't book well in advance. We tried the crab cakes and french onion soup to start. The french onion soup was one of the best I've had. The crab cakes were cooked very well but were slightly under seasoned. I had the roasted duck breast, and my partner has the spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The meats were also perfectly cooked and tender. The seasoning on the meats was slightly bland, but overall, the dishes were still good. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert. It tasted great. The powdered raspberry added a great kick to the dish.
The menu here also rotates throughout the months. For a great dining experience, I recommend trying Janes.

This is a formal dining experience with made from scratch food by culinary students and serving students in the RRC hospitality program.

I’ve been here many times and enjoy the unique food creations and great service experience

Ate here several times and the food was outstanding. Just had lunch here a few days ago and the meal was terrible. The trout was not hot but barely warm. The so called wild rice coating was not evident. But the worse part was the vegetables that came with this dish. The corn was hard and starchy. The beans were under cooked. Some of the squash was soft, while other pieces were not cooked properly and hard. These vegetables were also luke warm.

Told the waitress and her reply was maybe things will be improved next time.

Staff and waitress provided excellent service otherwise.

Very disappointed.

My fiancé and I spent our anniversary here in late November. The service and food were phenomenal! I thought the students had a charm about them. Very friendly and eager to please! The plating of the food was beautiful, and everything tasted amazing. Thanks to everyone who made our night special!

White linen service, 5 star food all created and served by students in various culinary and hospitality programs at Red River College. The menu changes regularly. Hours are somewhat irregular. Reservations are highly recommended. Please note for dinner reservations can only be made 3 weeks in advance for max 6 persons in party and they fill up. I will be returning again. So delightful. If you have dietary restrictions or needs, please advise at time of reservation so they can prepare in advance..as they do want to meet every guests needs.

We went for lunch and all I can say is amazing food, amazing service and amazing atmosphere as well as amazing prices. You actually get rolls and bread with three butters before your meal. I am so impressed and not sure if I can find a compatible place for the price and service . Bravo!!!

Dietary restrictions: I needed gluten free and there were many options. I couldn’t eat the bread or buns which was fine but without asking I received fabulous gluten free toast, so good

The mushroom soup was the best soup I ever had! Service was great . The only reason of removing one star is that the manager couldn’t accommodate us which is a bigger group of 7 people to one table … we had to be separated. But overall pretty good restaurant.
