We were welcomed by the very friendly staff at the Academy rd location. Picked up a beautiful wedding cake for my friend Julia’s wedding. The sugar flower decorations were gorgeous and delicate. The cake was salted caramel. It was flavourful, delicious and moist.

I love coming here!! The quality in baking is consistent and the macaroons taste what they are supposed to eg; fuzzy peach or cotton candy. Unique flavours and I can see they really try new flavours unlike other bakeries in the city. Everything I get here always tastes fresh! Just wish the cake part of the cupcakes were a little bigger, rather than the icing, find it too overpowering. Other than that, definitely a place to check out!!

I have bought cupcakes and macarons from JR many times. I personally don’t find their cupcakes too sweet at all and realize this is all personal taste. I like the ratio of sweetness and so does my family.The macarons have great flavour that taste natural unlike some places where the artificial flavours are just so over powering.My only critique would be staff not making me feel overly welcomed at the Island Lakes location. I have gone in there several times and many times I am not greeted with a hello or a smile. I get people have off days and I understand sometimes people make you have those off days and being in the service industry is tough.
Jenna and Ashley have established an incredible bakery here in Winnipeg. I’ve been coming here since they opened years ago and I’ve always had a positive and tasty experience.
