Ordered takeout and was pleasantly surprised. More minimal side and dessert options than Subway but the chips were delicious and so was my sandwich. I got the Cubano combo and I like that you don't have to pay extra for a lot of additional ingredient and sauce types. Overall flavour and freshness was much better than Firehouse Subs the single time I tried that franchise. Will definitely try a few more sandwiches in the future.
I visited the new Jimmy John's sub sandwich restaurant in Winnipeg. I went during the busy dinner rush, so it was pretty packed! I think they had their grand opening about a week ago.
Because it was so busy, it took a little while to put my order in and get my sandwich. This is totally understandable for a new place that is still working out its routines. I'm sure the service will get faster once everything is running smoothly.

I figured it would have way more punch and flavor and value than it did.
3 stars based on being underwhelming. With so much competition, differentiation - even in a sandwich is important.
Quiznos and Firehouse and Jersey Mike's are still ahead on price, value and taste.
