Food was good , I had the TAPA Breakfast however it could have been warmer , the RICE could be a little better on the Breakfast I had. The Longanisa Side sausages were over garlicy , I cook Longanisa at home and if I make them from scratch I use roasted garlic not raw as I think this was the issue with my sausages at Kalesa. The Sauce on the Sausages was awesome. TAPA was very tasty and the star of the plate..... Now a GRIPE with condiments , Bottled Ketchup Please not a small pill container , I like Ketchup and soya sauce and should be able to have more that I got . Now service .....COFFEE comes out first with Water not after my meal is brought to me ....COFFEE also should NOT BE INSTANT COFFEE that is IMHO a big NO NO for a stylish place like Kalesa that has potential to be great and in a good location...... YOU HAVE A COFFEE MAKER please use it to make coffee not hot water. Also Water glass and Water flask should be coming together. All in all the service was fragmented and not in sequence. I do plan to give this place another go ....atmosphere is a 2 because someone should have been in front watching for Patrons as there were 6 people waiting for service for about 8-10 minutes with no one in front at all .....that is a potential walk out of clients and lost sales .....I am sure you can do better , so clients should get their water and drinks and explain that you the server will be back in a few min but to sit and wait and have fragmented service will be a disaster for your customer service perception . Thanks
By the way I have worked in Customer Service in the past and understand that Serving Staff have a tough job ......but please remember perception of a open and friendly atmosphere even if you are extremely busy is key to not having walk outs , bad reviews at it is the first impression a customer has when they walk into the establishment.....then follow up with correct procedures of service per table.
AND no I am not looking for a free meal or comping of my last meal .....this is free advice from someone who has experienced doing the wrong thing and was corrected by a Kind Restaurant owner that I worked for , he took the time to teach me skills that I carry even in my professional management career 36 years later.

And I too appreciate you responding , we all deserve second chances ....you have a great location with great potential for the Community of Garden City ...you also have a lot of competition with Mama Nors where you just have take out but you have the distinct dine in ability ....this is where you can shine and with a few tweaks and check & balances you would easily have a weekend and week night regular crowd....Good Luck and thanks .

Vegetarian options: Tomato in the Eggs scrambled would have been over the top and made the eggs fantastic but onions were good .....

Dietary restrictions: Garlic Overload on Longinisa reduce or use roasted garlic .....the Breakfast Items were not on the dishes you recommend list so I just clicked bottled water , I would be interested in other dishes ....but that is hopefully for another visit .....

Interesting came in to just order for to go after comic con on friday. Didn't know it would be a booking. If it were to be a "private party," some of the people were quite blocking around the entrance, and the exit door could've had a sign saying "fully booked sorry private party in session can not take orders," though hosted for night. I came here at times. I love the food (for emergency, no food at home). But party goers blocking near doors are not that nice.

Save your money for another restaurant because this is not it. There is no excuse for serving this dish bland, overly thick broth that turns into a gelatinous gelatin instead of liquid. $13 for this is a scam. The restaurant could have easily denied the order due to the quality and state of the dish. But they still served it. It gives truth to all the other negative reviews and the others...idk maybe they haven't tasted what good food is like.

It was my partner and I’s first time here and we thought it would be a sitting down traditional service restaurant but we walked in and we were the only customers that walked in. There were 2 other tables that had teens and they did not dine. We did not even get a greeting as the person at the till was on her phone the entire time and we waited for about 5-10 mins and nothing. I eventually just came up to the till saying we wanted to dine in and the lady told us to serve ourselves. We would not have known. This is fine but a greeting or some direction would have been nice for first time customers. Although the food was good.

We order food from food truck today by FreshCo by Fermor. Food is AMAZING! I don’t remeber eating this nice food in long time. And service was also wonderful, they gave free drink to our kid and we very friendly and kind. We will definitely go back!

Food from the truck was cold. Shawarma wrap was 85% cole slaw that was far too sweet!? If I'm waiting 8 minutes for a wrap when nobody else is in line I'd at least expect the food to be warm like what were you doing with that time?? Flavor is subjective but my "chicken shawarma wrap" tasted like a desert with the absurd ammount of sugary cole slaw dressing. This was not shawarma, this is a filipino cole slaw wrap with a few spoons of chicken for 12 dollars. Never EVER again.

Vegetarian options: A vegetarian diet is one that does not include any meat or seafood. However, there are many variations to this – some people following a vegetarian diet may eat eggs and dairy foods, while others may avoid one or both.

I ordered grilled liempo and their bbq. My partner ordered tapa. The liempo was full of fat, I couldn’t even chew it properly. The bbq was full of fat as well. One of the bbq was just fat, no meat. The other bbq had one meat and 2 fats. Honestly, I would rather have the prices to be higher, for better quality of the food. The tapa tasted like tocino. Everything was just off. Probably one of the worst filipino restaurants i’ve tried.
