I had a lot of fun with my friends and family coming to HONG DU KKAE it had a very vibrant atmosphere filled with the Korean culture and beautiful nature, I really love to experience more of it because the employees had such a nice nature towards us as customers and was very open to talk about the best recommended dishes. “This is definitely long overdue. I've been going to this Kimchi location for probably almost 10 years now. I bowl in the basement of polo and my dad and I would always go and get lunch after and this was our place of choice. As I've gotten older, I often go alone. The staff is super friendly, always have been, and I adore them wholeheartedly. My order can be a little annoying (I'm the 7a with no corn and extra spicy!!!) but the staff is kind regardless-- so much so it's to the point where when I order online for pickup, even though I can't request no corn, they still often prepare it without it without me saying anything. They're all truly gems and I appreciate everyone there for feeding my addiction over the years haha!!

Just can't say enough about their food, the lovely service and the amazing value. If it’s your first time I highly recommend my favorite dish — Kimchi rice (Or Kimchi noodles if you prefer noodles)!“

We ordered one bibimbap, a sizzling plate, japchae, and a dessert (bingsu) and all dishes were excellent. Prices are on the higher side, but ok/good for a special evening out. “Our favorite authentic Korean restaurant in Winnipeg. Foods are very delicious and large portions. Reasonable price. Service is good. Best time to come here when is not busy because I think there's only one person working in the front (the lady who take orders and serves) so if it's busy it might takes awhile to get your orders. We come here every month for lunch. We tried many korean resto in Winnipeg already, this is the best one yet so far!“

“I ordered mini soup (with vermicelli rice noodles) and I loved it. It smelled wonderful and tasted incredible. There was also a choice of protein to add to it, and I chose beef. The beef was extremely tender and just melted in my mouth. The superfood pea sprouts seemed to be just as crunchy as the other vegetables. Although it's called mini soup, the portion was enough for me to feel full for several hours.

One person had the large and two of us had the small since we can not eat a lot and it was enough for us. We would come back again next time we are at the St. Vital mall.“

“I was seated quickly, but the server disappeared on me. Ordering is easy. Food came quickly. Wasn't a fan of the Dim Sum. I liked the variety of spices. Broth was bland. Most of the food items were good. It's ideal when you have a larger party so that you can share the food. Was stuffed at the end.“
