La Taqueria Mexican Street Tacos

Came based on others' recommendations. Tried several items on the menu, and all were delicious! Staff and owner were all so friendly and accommodating. Plan to become a regular now!

The place is very small. Only 4 tables so our party of 6 took 2 of the tables together with extra chairs from the back. It's more of a take out place. As for the food. The general consensus at the table was that it was good but lacked seasoning. Everything was bland and needed salt or hot sauce to spice it up. Even with 4 tables total it took a while to have them take our order and there was confusion with the soup as onions where not listed on the ingredients, which is why she choose it, and it came covered in onions to which she can't have. The experience was OK but will likely go somewhere else next time we are in town

A great little place to sit and have a authentic taco. The staff was friendly and food was really tasty with 3 sauces to choose from to spice it up. Had 2 different tacos, one chicken and one pork. The black beans and rice was very tasty.

Great little (and I mean little) Taqueria, with a near perfect menu of all the greatest hits you’d expect to find. I ordered the two tacos with beans & rice combo, it was the perfect meal. Their rice is incredible and the beans were the perfect mix of saucey while being whole. Don’t sleep on the chicken Mole taco.

Their house made salsas and hot sauces complement the meal perfectly. The Habanero sauce has incredible flavour and serious kick. So watch out.

This place is tiny, 4 tables, so be ready to do take out if you are going during peak times.

Best tacos in town! 🌮✨ The food was absolutely delicious, and all the staff was super nice- they welcomed us with free chips, the whole vibe was just awesome. It's in my neighborhood too, I can't believe it's only my second time here. I should come here more often, take my money. Lol

We stopped in for lunch and what a fantastic meal! We went with the recommendations they gave us and we were not disappointed!!! We wanted to try as many things as possible and shared some soup, 4 tacos and rice and beans. I can't name them all but everything was amazing. 5 stars!! Service 5 stars. ALL THE STARS!! We will definitely be back!!!

Such an amazing experience food was honestly the best tacos I have ever had, the chef came out and welcomed us and talked about the inspiration of the food. Had 5 different tacos each one told a story through flavor. Would five 6 stars if possible!

The staff was amazing. The food was some of the most authentic Mexican eats that I've had in Winnipeg. My hat is off to the cooks. If you haven't been there you need to go there

I just finished lunch from La Taqueria and it was simply amazing.

The flavours and fresh ingredients were unreal.

My wife and I just came back from Cancun and these tacos are significantly better than what we had in Mexico.

We will be going again very soon.

Incredible taco spot tucked away in St James. The cochinita pibil is the best I’ve had in years. Also highly recommend the horchata. Friendly owners too!
