Friendly service and fast turnaround for a pick-from-a-list type custom cake. Yummy and smooth vanilla butter cream frosting. Mild Earl gray flavor on the cake. Unfortunately even less picky folks who were eating it that same day we got it commented on how dry it was, which was disappointing. Don't think we'll risk trying another one.

We have had the pleasure of working alongside these guys at weddings during the covid19 pandemic. Their staff were finished their set up early and offered to help us over at the bar if we needed. We were so impressed with their collective effort to help out a fellow vendor and that stood out to us. Their food is delicious, and melted in our mouths. We look forward to future events working alongside you guys!

BUYER BEWARE! I ordered a lemon raspberry cake for me and my boyfriend’s one year anniversary. I was extremely excited as I have had Lark products in the past and they have always been great. However the box they packed the cake in was too small so the cake got mangled in transport, however that didn’t matter so much. What mattered was the fact that the cake was so dense it took all of our strength to cut through. The icing was dry and crusty as if it had been made 3 or 4 days ago. The cake tasted like dense, dry cardboard and was inedible. One piece was cut and not even eaten after 2 bites. I contacted the restaurant and they have been less than sympathetic, offering 50% of my money back and stating: we are ‘confident in the products we produce’. I am confident the cake was terrible and the customer service is sub par. It was supposed to be dessert for a special night, but apparently all I paid for was disappointment and dry cardboard.

Lark helps save the holidays! In the "before times" when I worked in the Exchange, I would often pop in for a treat and coffee. Since then, I have ordered Lark at Home via email and also on the new Lark at Home website.I've had the Lox in a Box and Pizza Night kits and will be enjoying their Cheese and Charcuterie this evening. I ordered the Winter Sugar Cookie Kits so my book club could carry on our cookie-decorating tradition, virtually -- and then I ordered more to give to my nieces and nephew. Everything has been delicious! They also helped me out with a few extra boxes so I could share a little of my home baking with friends and family, too. It's been hard to muster up my usual holiday energy to cook and bake with things so different this year, but having Lark goods to lean on has help make the season festive.Deliveries are friendly and well-timed.

Super disappointed with the gnocci! Mushy with no texture in a seemingly cuddled tomato sauce. Took 5 bites and was sick to my stomach. Server notified and stated "it was a bad batch of gnocci and others had complained about it as well". Portion was tiny, but who cares, sent entire dish back to kitchen. Shockingly enough, even with acknowledgement from server of poor "batch" quality and other consumer complaints, was made to pay 70% cost of dish. Reg price $17 - received $5.10 off. Will never go back! Too bad, it's a wonderful atmosphere!!

While this started out as a fantastic experience it turned very sour unexpectedly quickly and in a very disappointing fashion. The servers are fantastic and friendly. The food was good too. Unfortunately the owner treated me with the worst customer service I've ever experienced...and I do a lot of business. I've spent the last six days in this café ordering breakfast, lunch, and a couple of beverages each day. On my first day, I asked if they minded that I stayed there for several hours as I prepare and study for my professional licensing exam which is in one week. They said no problem, it's not that busy. And it wasn't. Often I would be the only or one of two occupied tables. I never cost them a customer or occupied a table over lunch while others were waiting. I also bought an overpriced $25 candle from them. I live within a block and would have become a regular customer for morning coffee or casual lunch in addition to bringing my business colleagues there for lunches in the future once I finish writing this exam in a couple of days. I'm a professional...so I'm not writing this or of frustration or anger....rather so people can know what type of people are behind the businesses they choose to support. Today, after ordering breakfast and two beverages, the owner came over, unplugged my computer and said we have a no plug policy now. Apparently the open sign was unplugged by someone yesterday -not myself. I said I'm sorry that happened, I understand that's not ok, and I would never do that but he said it doesn't matter we now have a policy. I explained that I have just today left to study because after that I will write my exam - could I stay for today - after which i wouldn't be there to study (I wouldn't have studied there after today anyhow but I would have been a return customer!) I am new in town and haven't yet located an alternative location. His response (not quoted but pretty close): We all have things that stress us out. It's not my problem. It's overhead for me. I don't have to explain myself to you.. We aren't a Tesla service station that just provides free electricity. You're welcome to stay but you can't plug-in................Right. So the issue is the overhead of the plug-in.?I have no problem with the no-plug policy. That's their rightful decision. The the way that I was treated after having been a regular customer for over a week, the sudden imposition of the new policy with no flexibility for today after I gave them my business, but mostly the defensiveness and disrespectful demeanour the owner used when he spoke with me when I asked about the change and option of staying for the last couple hours of today was enough for me to take my business elsewhere for good.

The imperial cookies are quite good and fresh but the s'mores croissant was hard and stale. The oatmeal cookie had a good flavour but was hard and tasted over cooked. An ok bakery in a pinch, but nothing special.

I ordered a birthday cake for myself, Mom and dads trio birthday. I ordered a strawberry cake with vanilla icing. I asked for a pretty pastel colors with a floral design. I paid $65 for an 8” cake. When I went to pick up the only colors were pink and bold green flowers. Ok maybe I could have specified the colors more specific and design. When we cut into the cake it was vanilla with a handful of strawberries sunk into the edges. I was very disappointed as I really wanted a strawberry cake not a vanilla cake with a few strawberries. The cake tasted like bread and the icing was good but not vanilla, more almond. If I ordered a chocolate cake I’d expect chocolate not vanilla with chocolate chips. I emailed them about this- they didn’t reply. They posted my cake on Instagram, so I wrote on their post asking if they received my email. They deleted my post. I re-sent my email- they ignored it again. This company clearly does not care about customer service and making people happy. I feel foolish wasting my money there.

Only came for coffee, but it’s a nice spot with a great atmosphere and helpful staff. I’m a big fan of the moss wall above the fireplace.

Lark has quickly become my favourite brunch spot in the city. Their menu is full of interesting ideas and good value. The servers are friendly and professional, and the store feels welcoming and clean. I haven’t yet tried the take out options or frozen goods but have heard that I should.

Love this place.I've taken friends and family here and visit regularly on my own. Wonderful place if you just want a coffee in a cozy non-pretentious setting, as well as a good menu and baked goods!
