Leopold's Tavern Winnipeg - Academy

Went to Leopold's for a bite and a few drinks after work. Never visited before and found it to be a nice cozy pub style restaurant with a great craft beer selection. Service was great, but unfortunately, forget the bartender/servers name. Very friendly and attentive.
I ordered the classic burger with fries. Really good burge, smash burger style, and the fries were fresh cut. Had a couple beers and enjoyed the atmosphere and time with friends. Definitely worth a visit or 2 or 3 😁.

Was o.k. fries are the shoestring style. Were warm, not hot. Always hate when the server comes by and asks how everything seems they wait until you have a mouthful of food. Also, on tip prompt. 18% was the first choice. If you want to change it, it doesn't give you the option. To me, 15 was more than the service was worth

Racist staff if you a person of color dont go there. These servers lack manners only for colored people . No basic decency worst place to go .

I walked into this restaurant expecting at least a basic level of service, but apparently, that was too much to ask. Despite making eye contact with a waitress multiple times, I was completely ignored—no greeting, no acknowledgment, nothing. If the staff can’t be bothered to do the most essential part of their job, I won’t be bothering to come back. Plenty of other places know how to treat their customers right.

I'm on a business trip, and on the recommendation of a local service engineer I came to Leopold to eat. Fun atmosphere, delicious food, good service, Michal the waitress who received a mandate for the food I will receive is a pleasant surprise of course. I enjoyed it very much. thanks.

Even though it's a chain, it's got a great vibe. Comfy, good food good atmosphere and good staff. Excellent poutine choices, lots of beverages on top. Definitely worth going back!

I figured since I emailed the restaurant and week ago and have gotten no reply since, a review is needed. Leopolds is one of my favorite bars and while I usually go to Osborne, I decided to order here from Skip. The food was very good as usual, but upon eating my second half of my wrap I found a long piece of plastic in it. I didn’t eat or choke on it thankfully was just kind of alarming. I’ll probably just stick with the Osborne location as something like this has never happened before.

Edit: The owner reached out to me via email about this and I am very appreciative of the effort made to improve this experience.

I tried this location yesterday. The service was kinda frustrating, waiting for a server always having to ask another server for help to send our waitress over. The food came out cold, just like the location I tried on the 14th. I honestly was so frustrated by the time we got our server to come back to the table that it was useless to tell them to replace the cold food. Poutines should not be coming out cold. The only item I had that had a little warmth wings, and that was due to me placing the order later.

Waited almost 40 minutes for any kind of service. Management clearly needs to schedule more staff.
