I’m from Saskatoon and recently called this bakery in Winnipeg with a simple but special request—and they absolutely went above and beyond. Lilac’s pies, cakes, and slices are so close to the baking I grew up with as a kid. But sorry mom, Lilac’s lemon meringue pie is even better. Great baking, and great people.

Lilac Bakery is a must-visit destination for sweet-tooths. Their carrot cake is truly scrumptious, with rich flavors and creamy butter cream icing. Their Pecan pie is also a standout, with a friendly staff and irresistible aroma. The bakery offers a wide selection of treats, including cupcakes, dessert bars, and cakes, with the red velvet cupcake being a fan favorite. The gluten-free and vegan cupcakes tasted great. Cakes made by Lilac were fabulous, and their slices were delicious. They also delivered phenomenal sugar cookies for a special request. The owner, Chris, is always so friendly at the shop, and the team was kind, understanding, and incredibly helpful, with care and dedication from everyone from the phone calls to the bakers. The customer care is top-tier. Beyond thrilled to have had Lilac Bakery cupcakes at a wedding! They did their classic snickerdoodle and a custom cherry cupcake with white chocolate buttercream that were to die for. Lilac Bakery did a wedding cake that turned out incredible. They are so easy and kind to work with. The pre-ordered gluten-free and vegan cake was the most amazing cake ever tasted.
