The owner, Chris, is always so friendly at the shop. And Kassey was awesome, coordinated our cupcakes and custom flavour with such ease.

We ordered the so called 6 inch cheesecake that says it serves 6-8 people for $55. The only way it would serve that many people is if you each only took a couple of bites. This would best serve 3 people at most. When measured it was only 4 inches. It’s way over priced for what you get. Will never be ordering from there again.

We ordered from Lilac Bakery for our micro-wedding a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier. We ordered cupcakes, and even the gluten-free AND vegan option tasted great! Kassey was great helping us with our simple plans, but didn't make us feel like we were wasting their talents. We were warned that the vegan buttercream melts on hot days... and of course we had an outdoor wedding when it was over 30C, so there were some casualties, but everything still tasted amazing.

I got 4 cupcakes and a mini cake loaf. The cupcakes were REALLY dry, I drank so much water after each bite. The buttercream was overly sweet and crusty, I touched it and it left no residue on my fingers. The same base of buttercream on all four 'cakes but with different colors and artificial flavors. It reminded me of betty crocker icing but dump A LOT of icing powder into it, you have edible playdough.
2 stars 'cause the loaf was nice but too tiny for the price. Ate it in two bites.
We've had a couple cakes made by Lilac now and both times the service and the cakes themselves were fabulous. I even got a couple of their slices this last time and they were delicious as well. Definitely recommend!
