Love the water bread. Have been going for almost 40 years. It’s changed for sure over the years. It’s a local business and like to support.
Not sure if changed but thought they used to make the Christmas bread sold at cork and olive.
Do not buy from them, total rip off ! I bought from Too good to go, well, it ain’t ! The choice is buns or bread only, food is at least few days old , place was closed and I had to wait for someone to show up , I had to pick from a rack that was priced $3 so it never add up to $14.99 like advertised, try talking to the guy that was there and asked for an owner but to no reply , don’t waste your money on this place ! Totally disappointed

The one-star rating for Lisbon Bakery (717 Sargent Avenue) is directly related to the "TooGoodToGo" program in which the bakery participates. Firstly, the "surprise bag" is supposed to contain a variety of baked goods, but what I received was merely a bag of dinner rolls (12 x Dinner rolls) with no variety whatsoever. Secondly, the surprise bag costs $5 through the "TooGoodToGo" app on my phone, yet the regular store price for one bag of dinner rolls is also $5. Therefore, there's no point in paying $5 to the TooGoodToGo program when I could simply walk into Lisbon Bakery and pay the same amount for one bag of dinner rolls. If you're signed up with TooGoodToGo, I advise against purchasing from Lisbon Bakery unless you specifically desire dinner rolls at the regular price!

UPDATE: I finally received a refund of $7, not 4.99 which you stated. It’s about the principle, not the money, if you’re not open why take my order and not cancel it? You are NOT open 7 days a week or else you would’ve been open on that Monday as I got there at 4:23pm. You never once offered me to come down to get the order I placed on a different day and told me to deal with it on my own. Still terrible service from your end.I ordered bakery items from them using the Too Good to Go app and never received my food as the business was closed. In calling them the following day they admitted to seeing the order yet, they didn’t cancel the order I placed which resulted in my credit card being charged. The front of their window displayed an open sign with their hours of operation showing them to be open but all the lights were off, no one answered the phone nor answered the doorbell rings. All I want is a refund at this point and they refuse to assist me.

Great bread and desserts
Tasty and affordable food. Nice sales personel!
It has a good assortment of sweet bread. Walter bread very good and cheap
Lots of different pastries and breads, $2.50 for one naniamo bar! they have their radio playing loud so I can't hardly think let alone hear what the clerk is saying. Otherwise a nice little neighbourhood bakery
Not very fresh items, was disappointed and won't return.
It wasn't the same bakery as years ago

Lisbon bakery's Cinnamon bund with coffee. Hhhmmmm! So delicious....
Purchased two slices of cake 5.50 each, should have just shredded the money. Both slices dry, old, must have been in display case for days. Tasted one bite, spit out accross table, disgusting. Stay away from the chocolate and lemon cake slices!
Delicious pastries and buns.
Buns are always fresh on Wednesdays
The best Portuguese bread. Always fresh. You must try it!
