If you are gluten free and visiting Winnipeg you absolutely have to try this place. I haven’t found breaded chinese food I can eat anywhere else. So, so good!As a side note, there’s no dine in, so the portion size in my picture is my own and much less than what they give you. We still have leftovers a few days later!

My mother hasn't eaten Chinese food since she was diagnosed with Celiac in 2011. This weekend I found this wonderful restaurant that has a special gluten free menu! Let's just say my mother was excited to try it!I will say that the very friendly pick up service was excellent. Just to note they open at 4pm and their phone rings of the hook for a bit at opening time. It's that good! We drove from St. Vital to the restaurant because it was a special treat however I do so again and again. The food was tasty and very flavorful. I couldn't tell the difference between the gluten and gluten free dishes.I highly recommend this wonderful little jewel on Portage Street! We are so happy to have found it!

Amazing selection of GF Chinese food that is very good. They do not have a restaurant it's pick up or delivery only. 5 stars! Some feedback that I have is when you pay by card the machine prompts for a tip. Yet there is no restaurant or service! I will tip the delivery guy but I'm not tipping for using my own gas to pick up. I find this so strange.

Shouldn't have ordered on New Year's Eve. Food was only ready 2 hours after ordering, and by that time they had perhaps run out of most ingredients. Every single item we ordered was the same - a whole lot of broccoli, then a tiny bit of what we ordered under it. You couldn't tell the dishes apart, and many of the vegetables were raw.

20/10. Can’t believe I’ve never had them before. Best Chinese takeout and best gluten free options in the city!! Also- leftovers rock.Dietary restrictions: We asked for no MSG added as well all our order was gluten free; they made sure and marked it all. So so good!

Dietary restrictions: So many gluten free choices, it was asking! The new Shanghai noodles were my favorite, but all the dishes were excellent.

Super nice to have gluten free Chinese. I absolutely love their hot and spicy pork but everything I’ve had has been yummy and safe. A top restaurant in the city for me for sure!Dietary restrictions: Has an entire gluten free menu and I have never had troubles!

THE BEST GLUTEN FREE CHINESE FOOD EVER!! They have a HUGE gluten free menu that they are continuing to expand, including wonton soup and many noodle dishes! They have a seperate gluten free deepfryer so many fried options as well. Better than any non-gf Chinese food I've had. The owner is super nice and they now provide some of the gluten free dishes frozen! Really good prices for specialty gluten free food. When you order gluten free they specify that it will be gluten free and celiac safe. They do not have dine-in - takeout and delivery only.Vegetarian options: They have the standard Chinese vegetable dishes.Dietary restrictions: Extensive gluten free menuParking: You can park right in front on portage or any of the side streets for free.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is at ground level and the entrance is spacious and easy to order and wait. Take out only so no seating or tables.

I really wanted to like Lucky Koi since I am in the neighbourhood. Ordered the sesame chicken and vegetable fried rice. The breaded chicken was soggy (even though I picked it up on time), and had an overpowering taste and smell of vinegar. It was pretty much inedible. The fried rice was passable. A fair amount of cut up thick broccoli stems was included, which I haven't come across before. The service was very friendly and attentive but unfortunately I'm going to take a pass on giving this place a second chance since I was so disappointed with the food.

First time at Lucky Koi and they did not disappoint. I have to eat Gluten Free (celiac) and have been craving Chinese food for years now. I finally got to go to Lucky Koi and I am over the moon with excitement. I’ve been wanting Lemon Chicken and it was delicious. We had Chicken chow mein, Chicken fried rice, Beef Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Lemon Chicken. It was sooo good. My husband dose not eat Gluten Free and said he couldn’t tell the difference from regular and in all honesty neither could I. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Winnipeg. Lucky Koi for the win!!

Not somewhere I would order from or recommend. Fresh enough but most of the stuff was over cooked or kind of bland.Over cooked chewy spicy honey chickenBland over cooked deluxe chow meinBland fried riceOvercooked white rice (but free)Very chewy beef and broccoliAll veggies over-cookedVery teeny spring rollsIf you are not a food snob this may not apply to you.The price is fairly reasonable and the portion sizes were average just not for me :)

The food was very forgettable. Think: ‘food court’. Bland and boring. Portions are good but you pay for it. There is so much better ‘western’ Chinese food restaurants in Wpg. Won’t be ordering from here again.
