It’s a hidden gem of the city. My friend and I found this restaurant by accident then it became our favourite. I’m very sad writing this comment as I just watched news on CTV about it is going to close for good. It’s a loss to Winnipeg.

Might be the best lunch in Winnipeg. Food was delicious. I had the brisket hash. The service was very friendly from the host to the servers. The coffee was unreal as well. Might have had 3 refills or more.Don’t take a wrong turn when you get in the lobby. You might get a show of a young lady dancing around a brass pole.

This is not just a restaurant, it's a cozy place to meet, eat and make great memories. Today we had a birthday breakfast and the staff greeted us saying Happy Birthday and had our table all setup for a mini party. Food was beyond excellent. Service was beyond fabulous. Such a gem of a place.

Excellent food with great flavours and twists on dishes. Can be a bit of a wait to get a table but always worth it!

Been here before and didn't love it, but I was nearby and thought "hey, that was a long time ago, let's try again." What a mistake. We had a 25 minute wait to be seated, but its fine because its MSE on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Benny and asked for my potatoes to be "jacked up" (with added bacon, onions, and peppers). When it came with nothing on it, I asked and the server said "I'll check" ... girl, you can see as well as I can its not there. She then brought out the extra stuff in a container for me to put on myself. I didnt think the extra 3 dollars was worth the portion of veg and teeny bacon, but whatever. The Benny was a little lacking in the flavour and heat department, so I asked for more hollandaise. I stopped eating to wait for the hollandaise thinking it would be a moment or two, because our meal came out less than 10 minutes after ordering. After about 15 minutes, we asked where it was. The server said the kitchen was backed up. We said thank you and waited a little longer. So I'm expecting fresh, from scratch, hollandiase, and imagine my surprise when I pour the sauce that comes out a few minutes later on my cold meal (I thought it would warm it up a little, you know) to find the sauce was very cold. Anyways, the cherry on top, when we were paying a little later, the server asked how our day was, and as we are trying to tell her, she didn't listen. I totally understand not caring in the slightest about your customers (I've been there), but then maybe don't ask about our plans if you are going to turn away and not listen to what we are saying. Just hand us the bills and move on. Although my experience was lack luster, my friend had the burger and she liked it. But she said the best thing about the whole meal was the pickle, so, take what you will from that. I think for all the hype this place gets, they need to step up their game.

The best brunch/breakfast place in the city ? I love the crunchy hash with amazing toast. Everything is just so purr-fect. The wait time is sometimes long, but the food time is super quick. Can’t recommend enough :)

The food was great. Had the pork belly hash. The meat was tender and the potatoes were seasoned well. My wife had the grilled cheese with burnt ends and the soup which were excellent also. Service was prompt and attentiveIt was a Wednesday and people were willing to wait .5 hr for an open table. This spot has the right formula. Tasty diverse menu with reasonable pricing with generous portions.

Lived up to ExpectationsVisited Marion Street Eatery on a visit to Winnipeg based on positive reviews online.Food- Eatery Burger - juicy, cheesy, would have preferred a tad more aioli but overall a solid choice; I chose a side of homemade (according to reviews) fries and gravy; gravy was OK, serving of fries was generousService- Waiter was friendly, attentive, service was fastAtmosphere- casual, filled with locals and visitors alike; other menu items observed on other tables looked delicious; would return and try something else on the menuGreat job, Marion Street Eatery; will definitely come back if I ever find myself in Winnipeg again

I heard a lot about this place, I couldn't wait to try it. I've been twice and I can see it is a fantastic example of a Winnipeg style brunch place. The menu is limited but the quality of the ingredients they use in the meals make up for it.The atmosphere is cool, relaxed and roomy. Bar seating, table seating and booths, your choice. And finally the service, in a word ... GREAT! Friendly, informed and genuine, why can't all restaurants have these kinds of folks serving food?Go and support a local gem and be pleasantly surprised. You'll wish this place had more locations.
