Maxime's Restaurant and Lounge

I can’t recommend this place enough! The food is always absolutely delicious, and the service is top-notch. The servers are incredibly professional, making every visit a pleasant experience. What truly stands out, though, is how conscientious the owners are. They always remember when I come in and take great care to ensure my meals are safe and accommodate my food allergies. It’s rare to find a restaurant that goes above and beyond like this—such a gem!

Good food but very pricey!

Attended private Xmas party function. We had two servers for 36 people.

I come from the food service industry and fondly the prices high.

It was very disappointing 😞 the food was not even warm the prices were not the same as the set menu they sent the owners didn't seem to care . You get soup or garden salad with the meal 5.95 to up a ceasar salad and 6.95 to up a Greek totally rediculous left disapointed😞

We chose Maxime's to celebrate my Mom's 85th birthday. There were ten in our group. Four of us had chicken, and all four got food poisoning that night. We called them to inform them of this, so that they could look into the matter to prevent anyone else from getting sick. They refused to take any responsibility for it. We contacted the Manitoba Health Inspector, who after questioning all of us, agreed it must be the chicken that made us sick, as it was the common denominator. The owners absolutely refused to take any responsibility whatsoever. We were not wanting anything from them, we just wanted them to take accountability in order to prevent others from getting sick, but they refused. After many years of our extended family being patrons at Maxime's, we will never step food in that restaurant again.

We were here to celebrate my neices' 18th birthday, and I must say, they exceeded all of our expectations. Excellent service!!! The staff were very attentive, and the food was superb. They even had a gluten-free menu for my neice with an added bonus of a scrumptious gluten-free bday cake. I highly recommend this place.

There must have been new staff or changes in ingredients because the food's flavour was well below what we are used to. Everything tasted off: the escargot had way too much garlic and tasted, and looked, burnt; the mac and cheese tasted exactly like the burned flavour of garlic; and I think the salad had been frozen because it was mushy.
Additionally, when it was time to pay our very large bill, a staff member said that the members of our group "sure took advantage" of the payer. NOT funny and totally inappropriate!!

We go there every wedding anniversary. Every single time I went there, the soup of the day which is complimentary to most entrees has been amazing. Its price is very reasonable for the quality of the food.
I have tried the steaks, they were made how I like them. medium rare will actually be medium rare, medium well will actually be medium well.
Apart from the steaks, I like the Manitoba pickerel, escargots, and the lemon mushroom garlic chicken.
We used to go to the keg for steaks but since we resorted more to white meat and less red meat (steaks/ribs), Maxime definitely tops our expectation (not that their steaks are not good.). And it's locally owned!

Parking: It has its own parking lot. At a high level estimate, it could probably fit 50ish cars.

Sherri is fantastic. She is very efficient and very friendly. We have had her serve us many times and she is great. She made the experience wonderful. Will be back for sure !

Very disappointed. I ordered the prime rib dinner with a Yorkshire pudding. The Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and tuff. The prime rib was ok but not warm. The veggies were tasteless and limp. The baked potato was overbaked and dry. The schmoo cake was dry and served old coffee. The only good thing was the Reuben soup. I also didn’t expect paper place mats at a high end restaurant.

If you want to eat in a restaurant that offers you comfortable seating and an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere, THIS is the place. The seating is well spaced, and the service is attentive, accommodating - and POLITE. The menu offers you an array of wonderful, tasty choices and the portions are very generous. All this - PLUS safe and plentiful nearby parking. Maxime's gives you excellent value for your money, and makes this a wonderful place to dine whether you have a large party or an intimate meal for two. Very highly recommended!

What a treat! Took the family to dinner tonight- I had never been here before- and will definitely be back! The food was excellent and well priced, Service was second to none! Our waiter (Howie) was excellent, very knowledgeable and personable. He made our evening!
