The food is decent, and it's great to find South Indian dishes, especially Idly, Dosa, Vadai, and Sambar of such quality and taste in Winnipeg. Visited Mc's Curry Restaurant yesterday and had a good experience overall. We tried the masala dosa, onion uttapam, and idli — all were fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The only downside was the sambhar quantity, which felt a bit less compared to the size of the dosa.
The filter coffee was absolutely amazing — strong, rich, and perfectly brewed!
We also took the Chettinad chicken biryani for takeaway. The flavor was nice but it was a bit lacking in salt. Still, it was decent overall.
Would definitely return for the South Indian items and coffee!
