The food was okay but the restaurant needs a deep clean and to updated. The seats are deteriorating, the floor was sticky, windows don’t look like they’ve been wiped down in months and there was a man walking barefoot around the restaurant. Cleanliness standards need to be higher.

Our server was very gossipy tonight with coworkers. Yelling in the kitchen Distracting the cooks who are burning the food.. the one cook was spraying chemicals onto the hood fan while my spouses food was cooking on the grill. Thankfully there was another server who came to check on us multiple times. Don’t take two bowls at once to seperately your food if it makes you happier. You will be charged double the server exclaims even tho you have the same amount Awkward …

So yesterday was my first time ever being to mongos, and I was not sure what to expect. I couldn’t have been happier with my server Lauryn. I wasn't sure what to get, and her patience for my indecisiveness was incredibly appreciated! Writing this review I feel like the atmosphere is a 3/5 but Lauryn really takes this to a 5/5.

I had the pleasure of being served by Mckenna at Mongo’s Grill on Regent, and she was fantastic! From the moment I sat down, she was warm, attentive, and made sure everything about my visit was just right.
Mckenna was not only friendly and professional but also incredibly knowledgeable and efficient. She checked in at the perfect times, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.
It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in her work. Thanks to Mckenna, my visit to Mongo’s Grill was that much better, I’ll be back as long as she is there !

So before anything else, I would like to say I love Mongos. We normally go to Ellice location since it is closer to where we are, and today was the first time we went here. When we get inside, we were seated right away, which I was so impressed. However, I was surprised we were put on the table with tall chairs considering I have a toddler. There were some other normal tables, but I didn’t make it a big deal or asked to be moved and just made it work on our end. When we got to the table, the person who sit us just stare at us not asking if we need anything, drinks or if we have allergies. It is not our first time in Mongo’s but it is our first time here in this location so I am not sure if that is how they do. I also noticed they’ve watered down our stir fry too much. It was sticking a lot in the grill because they don’t stir it often enough. My husband’s stir fry has been sitting in there for around 5 mins, already cooked just been waiting to be put in a plate. Back in Ellice, they ask those things and even ask if you need help on getting stuff ready. While we were waiting for our food to be cooked, I noticed how the cooks were all over the place and there’s stuff getting thrown at the floor, it is very untidy. After our food was cooked and we came back in our table, our server never really came back to check on us. I see her standing and walking around and talk to her coworkers but she didn’t come back in our table anymore. I had to go to the take out corner and ask a different server to help us such as take out boxes and our bill. We came around 7pm and they just probably coming out of the dinner rush, so I also take that into consideration. But seeing our server just standing around, while the other 2 servers running around to help customers was very disappointing.

Price was pretty reasonable for lunch. I had an amazing server. I forget her name but she went above and beyond recommending what she liked and what was popular. She took the extra 3 or 4 minutes to teach me the process. My drink was always refilled and she was very pleasant and eager to please. She asked about my allergies and recommended I tell the guy at the grill as a precaution.
We talked about leaving because of how much food and mess was all over.
We did stay and eat. Food was decent. But we talked about how messy it was the whole time we ate.
Witch is kinda a turn off for dinner.
Past times we've gone it was amazing so maybe just a off day
Ps. They didn't have dragon ranch......

I went to Mongo’s on Regent a few days ago with my kids, and made reservations in case it got busy. Our server, told us to follow him to our table, then proceeded to talk to two employees, and had us stand for another 5 mins, added to the 15 we stood at the door waiting… My kids were already getting tired of waiting. I wish we would have just left. He asked us what we wanted for drinks, told him, then he never brought our drinks! I had to go ask another server. Waited a good 30 mins to have our food cooked. Also, got food poisoning! Glad I didn’t tip! First time I have never tipped. We won’t be back.

Always so happy when I go to Mongo’s. Service is always fast and friendly. It’s clean, the veggies are fresh and crisp!! Tons of variety for protein and serving size is what you want it. Nothing tops the Dragon Ranch Sauce!
