Order here through Door Dash.
When I started eating, and just as I swallowed, I felt something and became stuck, and after a few attempts, it came out and what it was 2 small pieces of cardboard.
How would it get past the cookes.
Every time my family and I come to Winnipeg, we always get mongos.
This time, I was by myself and had it delivered, and this stuck in my throat and was able to get it out.

Disappointed. 10 years ago this place was amazing. It definitely has gone down hill. We came for lunch hour. Low staff, buffet was half topped up. I witnessed one of the cooks drop a metal spatula on the filthy ground and pick it up and continue to use it. The kenaston mongo’s is way better.
Haven’t been here in awhile, now I remember why. The service was great. The server was very friendly and did an excellent job. The food on the other hand was terrible.
What is the point of putting on all those flavour sauces only to have the cooks unload an entire bottle of water on it? It is terribly watered down and has zero flavour. I really don’t know anyone who enjoys boiled steak? Cause that’s exactly what they are doing. I put a ton of sauces on my stir fry only to have it all wasted. I don’t really enjoy paying $20.00 for a bowl of hot water.
Also around the grill and food area there was a strong odour of raw sewage. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

Just finishing up at the Regent location. Chose to come here for my birthday dinner. Never again. Horrible experience. You can't tell me the sauces aren't watered down. My husband and I both put over 15 ladles each in our bowls and our noodles didn't even change color. It tasted like nothing. Had to add 3 of the little plastic containers of teriyaki and some of the soya sauce from the table to have it be edible. And for the cost, that is ridiculous. Service was also rude and terribly slow. Shouldn't have to wait until the end of our meal to get our first drink refill, and over 20 minutes for the bill.

Ordered takeout. Wanted a healthy stir fry. Meal was 85 percent noodles and rice with very little vegetable. Not how it used to be or is when you make your own plate. We won’t order again.
Price has gone up a lot, over $20 per person. The one on Regent is not clean, tables weren't really clean, floor is dirty, the area where the meat is smells like sewage because the bathroom is right next to it.

Sad they got rid of the birthday bowl, great place for food lovers and picky eaters as you make your own bowl. Cook it in front of you and add options as a side or included.
Dietary restrictions: They will ask and help out with allergies
Parking: Shared parking lot
Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats

Last night was my first time visiting Mongos in 7ish years and I was apprehensive about it being as good as I remembered and how much the price of a meal has gone up. Firstly, the waitress that assisted us was very friendly. The two cooks working on the grill were also nice. The restaurant appeared to be clean but the low lighting made it hard to make a proper judgement. There was a vast range of toppings, meat and sauces to choose from and it was fun to be able to customize with so many options. Our meals were very good and cooked well. Unfortunately, the price for a meal was high and the size of the bowls they provide aren’t very big. The first bowl is $20 and if you want to fill up again you have to pay an extra $7.50 each time. Well we didn’t realize that initially so we didn’t fill up our bowls very much the first time and had to pay the extra $7.50 to go again. I recall a couple years ago when I visited not having to pay for a second or third bowl but perhaps my memory deceives me. Because of the high price I likely won’t be back, unfortunately.
Used to be my favourite, place got hella cheap and they have a hard time listening. For some reason they think that people want to eat stir fry soup. When I asked for it "cooked dry, I hate it soggy" don't stand there spraying it with water. You also can't add more than one egg and the cut the rice portion in half. I'm pretty well over this place now

Never been but walked in and as a diabetic, all I saw was processed meat, no real meat although lotsa veggies. With tax only one small bowl to fill would be $25. Not worth the cost. Disappointed so I walked out.

Food is good but wraps were different than before. It’s “Taco” size now just two pieces. We came here for birthday, unfortunately no special discount for birthday anymore . However, no host/server told us at the beginning when I just entered and mentioned I was here for birthday discount. Not crazy busy but our table had zero service at all. Not deserved tips for what I experienced.

Food was delicious, but the restaurant really needs a good cleaning. The floor was really gross looking and the plates had old food stuck to them. But I'm a sucker for mongos, so I'll keep returning.
