At the St Vital Montana’s location on April19/24 (Friday), we had a reservation for 5pm, we made the reservation on April 14/24 (Monday) we were having a good dining experience but we were starting to notice just after we received our dinners at around 6:00-6:10 that we were being “rushed out” as the server brought our bills and didn’t ask if we wanted desserts/top ups to beverages. Our table questioned the server and the server informed us that there was another reservation for that specific table and how there was a “2 hour dine in period”. We understood the servers response & thanked her for telling us, but because of the staff not communicating prior that this table was reserved for another time at 7pm (conversation took place around 6:30pm) it felt like what they were doing was trying to rush us out as some of us still wasn’t done our plates.In the end, an apology was given from the staff due to the miscommunication and a free appetizer card was given, and we recommended that for next time should there be multiple reservations at set times, to notify the tables coming in prior by giving them a phone call about the “2 hour fine in period” (should that be how their reservation system works)I also confirmed with staff at the Kildonan Place (regent) about my experience of being rushed out due to the timeframe and the next reservation, and I had 2 servers confirm that they’ve never heard of the “2 hour dine in period”.Shoutout to my Kildonan Place regulars, yall are the best ( Brandi & Sam )

We ordered sirloin steak dinner for two thru door dash - the food came on time, the meal was very disappointing. Our steaks were over cooked, dry and tough. Our expectations aren’t terribly high for Chain restaurant steak dinners, but this was especially poor. If we had been eating in, we would have sent it back. Definitely would not recommend Montanas.

Went today with my friends and husband for the 5$ taco deal and to try something new. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The service all though the waitress was friendly she was not attentive in the least, we eventually had to get someone to flag her down. The shrimp tacos were good but the chicken tacos were totally cold like the chicken had just been taken out of the fridge.I refused to eat it and ask for a replacement of a shrimp taco and mentioned that everyones was cold, she said she would look into it and never came back and said anything about it at all. She never came and asked about refills or to bring extra napkins, even thought we were clearly using our hands to eat. I could understand if they were swamped but there were atleast 5 staff members standing around cause the restaurant was practically empty. This was at 530 today. I will be hard pressed to return, especially to this particular location.

My wife and I decided to stop in to this location for a steak dinner. We were greeted by professional servers in a kind and friendly manner. We were seated immediately in a location we preferred. As we got comfortable we were presented with a extremely polite server. The servers name was Hayley. Within minutes, my wife and I ordered our drinks and appetizer. A few minutes later we had our drinks and appetizer. We ordered the oven-baked Antojitos and they were awesome! We were then approached by the Manager asking us how everything was tasting. We stated that the service was great and the food so far was awesome. I asked the Manager what his name was and he said his name is Hamza and that he is the Manager for this location. Hamza was extremely polite and professional in every way. Hamza asked if we were ready to order? I stated to give us some time as we were still enjoying our appetizer. Hamza left our table and Hayley showed up 5 to 10 min later and we started our main dish orders. My wife and I ordered the 10oz steak dinners. The server then topped up our drinks and left to drop the orders. Within 15 minutes we had our orders. The steak dinners were eloquently displayed on the plates and looked awesome. Everything looked and smelled great. We dug in and we were not disappointed as the steaks were cooked correctly and tasted great. Everything else on the plates were also awesome however we paid more attention to the steaks. We were then approached again by the server as well the Manager asking if everything was acceptable. We stated that everything was great from start to finish and that we will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Hamza and Hayley. You both were great as well all the food awesome. We are definately going to recommend Montana's on St Mary's road to everyone we know.
