Dinner I order was chicken with potatoes and beans with peppers, the chicken tasted burnt and potatoes tasted old, the beans had no flavor and that lil cake on side was dry like sand. Only good thing was the water payed 52 for both meals just so sad.

Suspected rasicm/mistreatment

First time I went in a couple months ago a waiter was pushy because I ordered a lunch special meal and tried to push to order the full size meal.

She didn’t punch in our appetizer orders as well. Seemed to wait on other tables more effectively. Food was ok onion rings were cold. Food tastes reheated not fresh.

Second experience

Waiter seemed to be side eyeing a lot , did not feel enthusiastic to be there in general. I didn’t feel comfortable in her presence as she was so unwelcoming. Second experience has me wondering it because my table was indigenous.

Don’t work with the public if you plan to treat people different from others if this is not a race issue than this team seriously needs some attitude adjustments and team review of why your staff seem miserable

Honestly I won’t be returning

Ordered the Pitmaster's combo expecting smoky, hearty BBQ. What I received instead felt like a prank.

The chicken wings were so tiny I genuinely wondered if they came from day-old chickens who never got a fair shot at life. The brisket? A pile of warm-ish fat with the vague memory of meat attached. The ribs were dry enough to qualify as kindling, and somehow, impressively, none of the meats were actually hot. Lukewarm BBQ is a hate crime.

Service didn’t help. Our server checked on us exactly once and then disappeared for the rest of the night, seemingly devoted to a single table while we aged gracefully in our booth. Food took so long to come out that I had time to reflect on the choices I made that brought me here.

Overall, this was one of those meals where you leave hungry, annoyed, and spiraling over how a BBQ restaurant can fail so completely at the one thing it exists to do.

Placed a take out order 3 days prior to pickup. Arrived at selected time and order was 15 minutes late (why bother picking a time if it won’t be ready anyways...) but- Not too big of a deal. However, we placed a fairly pricey order for a family birthday dinner, which included 3 of the beef rib dinners. 2/3 was full of fat and gristle. For a ~$40 plate, it was pretty disappointing. We have experienced inconsistency a lot in the past year or so with the food at this specific location.

I ordered a dish called brisket mac and cheese.
When it arrived, the pieces were pure fat, just fat.
I reported it to the server, and they tried to give us a very vague and almost mystical explanation.
Not only was the dish a disaster, but the service was as well.

The new menu of Montana is great! I have had the Maple Brisket Smash. And it was so delicious! My kid said that triple chocolate cake is best in his life 😃. Brock, thank you for great service! Going to be back definitely. We'll done, Montanas on Sterling!

We did not get seated as they said they would not seat us as we had our children with us. So as a result, I will never go to another Montanas.
