the service was awful and the food was the same, awful, was there 75 minutes before we got anything to eat, and they only brought one of our orders, almost had to beg for a glass of water, i would not recommend this place at all
Friendly. Tempura and nigiri were good. Go-to spot for lunch all-you-can-eat.
EDIT: Brought the wife and kid for a birthday lunch on August 21, 2025, 11:45 am. Service was EXTREMELY slow and when the food came, the rolls were chock full of what seemed like old rice with tiny portions of meat. We waited about 30 mins for the first dish to arrive, and then food trickled in at 10 - 20 minutes' intervals thereafter. We decided to leave before even half my order arrived as it was taking so long. Sadly, it will be my last time ever. When I spoke to the waiter, there didn't seem like much contriteness. To their credit, they did discount my meal by 30%.
To my family, it was a sad goodbye as we had many fond memories of this place and went there for dates and special occasions. Not anymore.

Today, my spouse and I had the chance to visit this restaurant. Since we went during the day, we didn’t need a reservation, but I would still recommend making one. On the other hand, for $35.50 per person, you can order the unlimited regular menu (sushi, soup, pizza, appetizers, etc.). There aren’t many sushi restaurants in Winnipeg, and only a few of them are tasty — but their prices are usually very high. However, this restaurant won my heart: it’s budget-friendly, delicious, and clean. In terms of price-performance, I definitely recommend giving it a try. I hope this review reaches you well.

A sushi shop in Portage Ave. that gives a secluded vibe the moment you enter its premise. It's a small place and is very suitable for a 2-5 person group.
The dim lighting made me feel like it's a cozy spot in a busy location as if you're entering a different place compared to other shops around Mooshiro.
The crowd is mostly quiet since there are only few tables, while the staff is very attentive since they only have to cater to small groups.
The food is decent, nothing exceptional. However, the service and atmosphere make it a must-visit-once spot–something like a random visit after an activity to wind up and talk.
Overall, 9/10

Friendly staff! Sushis were ok, at least, the ones I ate so I’ll have to come back and try more of them! Good and tasty selection of appetizers though!

It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is a nice all you can eat sushi restaurant with lots of good menu options and some unique rolls. Food quality was overall good and everything tasted nice. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Interior was well decorated and very cozy feeling. Overall a good experience if you're looking for AYCE sushi in Winnipeg
Was pleasantly surprised with the sushi here
Great food, like the torched salmon, staff are nice.
