Loved-Loved… LOVED this gem of a find! I Googled “ Best Deli in Winnipeg,” and was surprised that, having grown up in River Heights, I had never stopped in before. So glad we did today to celebrate my brother’s birthday while visiting our parents from Calgary. If you love a little nosh with delicious food, incredible vibes, and warm family roots, this Gold Star Deli- will not only steal your heart- but your taste buds too! ❤️

No wonder this place has been around since the 1950's! The food was fantastic! Very cute old school deli atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They have daily specials that you can take advantage of. They offer a variety of sandwiches, soups and salads. You won't be disappointed! This will definitely become a regular stop for lunch.

Don’t get me wrong but although the corned beef and pastrami sandwiches were delicious and the in house mustard was excellent all they offered was rye bread. They were sold out of salami. I would have liked to see other options for bread. I tried asking questions about the makeup of the sandwiches but was ignored. I was actually looking for a turkey sandwich with all the ingredients on pumpernickel, sadly no. My search continues for a deli with a more varied menu.

Enjoyed our first visit at Myer's Delicatessen in Winnipeg with a fantastic lunch.
We were greeted by the owner’s friendly father who provided us with a bottle of water.
The quaint deli is filled with nostalgic decor from the 1920’s to 1960’s.
Fresh deli meats are made in house. Kevin had the Montreal smoked meat sandwich and I had the roast turkey. The bread was super fresh rye bread.

Was in town from Edmonton and craving a classic Winnipeg deli sandwich on fresh rye — Myers did not disappoint! The sandwiches were amazing, packed with flavour and made just right. But what really stood out was the service — warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. It has that great family-run atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Winnipeg and looking for a proper deli experience!
