I can't say enough good things about Nicolino's. The food was perfect. The pasta was fresh and perfectly prepared. This is a must see for Italian food here in Winnipeg.

Nicolino's is one of our favourite restaurants because of their consistency to offer delicious food and attentive service. Portion sizes are generally very good, but the side salads and breadsticks seem to be getting smaller! I have been dining here since it was a Sorrento's location. The warm breadsticks were always a big draw, but last night they were barely there! I also do not recommend the salmon if you have a hearty appetite. It is tasty enough, but the portion size is quite small. The Chicken Parmigiana and the Lasagna are both very satisfying portions. I had the spinach cannelloni and it was also very good. Pizza and salad combo is always good too! Atmosphere is good, but sometimes a little on the noisy side. When making a reservation, make sure to specify to be seated in the restaurant or you may find yourself dining in the lounge.

I haven’t been here for years since last weekend and was excited to dine in again. My overall experience was nothing less than disappointing, i won’t be coming back. Long story short, over an hour wait for pasta and pizza and confrontational manager topped off with subpar food just isn’t worth my money these days.I understand the pasta and everything is fresh and made in house, sure whatever, but that’s not an excuse to justify a two hour wait. Unless you’re making it literally as it’s ordered and not in the morning, then props to you, I am wrong. When my party raised a time concern to our experience we were lied to and brought bread that was unsatisfying. 3-4 minutes turned into 15.The pasta was wet and greasy and not pleasant to eat anyways.We asked to speak to the manager and told us we were late and to expect a two hour dine in experience for the ‘home made pasta’ - still confused on how that takes two hours to boil pasta that was made morning of hopefully - I digress - then when my friend was in shock from the words coming out of the managers mouth they turned to them and asked why they were laughing….I don’t like bashing or bringing down local business and restauranteurs in our beautiful city. But that was the worst dining experience of my life and I truly hope you fix the experience for future guests.

Nicolino's has always been one of my favorites and this visit didn't disappoint! Everything on the menu is great but some faves include: calamari, salads are amazing, pizza is awesome and the pastas are fabulous! The service has always been excellent as well—great team. It's pretty easy to see why Nicolino's is always busy!

When we arrived we told staff we had an engagement to get to, leaving us more than an hour and a half to eat. Despite this, we still had to wait an hour to receive our food. We voiced our complaints to the manager, who in turn took a confrontational and dismissive attitude, telling us we were wrong and that we should expect over a two hour wait at this restaurant. Never in my life have I experienced a restaurant manager blaming customers for the restaurants failure, not even apologizing. Our entire party was speechless. Highly recommend you don’t give Nicolino’s any of your money. Because of the attitude of management, they’ve lost our business for life.

Amazing, friendly and professional service by Aretti and Ally. Nicolinos Sorrento treats you like family.If you’re around the corner at The Melody or in the neighborhood and love Italian fare, this is the place!
Despite patiently waiting for over an hour for our food, the manager had the audacity to imply that waiting over two hours was standard practice, saying it was our fault. The lack of empathy and professionalism displayed by the management was shocking. I strongly advise against coming here, their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction was something I’ve never experienced before.

I have to say...I feel SO bad that I not left a review until now!!! Nicolinos has become such a solid "go to" for myself and now many of my family and friends ! ( I am there almost weekly!!).It is a restaurant that truly makes an effort to remember regulars...like "Cheers"!Not only is the food awesome but the staff go above and beyond. In particular... Aretti is soooo OUTSTANDING!! She is not just an amazing server but she goes way above and beyond!! She sincerely makes a such an extra effort to remember you and more importantly take interest in whatever you share with her. She remembers you. CHEERS!
