Tried something new today for a late birthday supper for my roommate. He had said his favorite food was Greek, particularly a dish called pastitsio.
I had googled Greek restaurants and the only place that listed pastitsio was Nicos on Corydon so thats where I made a reservation. Its a small restaurant which actually kinda surprised me but completely irrelevant to my review. I was greeted immediately by the friendly hostess/waitress. Got my drink with ice right away while i was waiting for everyone else to arrive. A charming elderly couple told me it was their first time there as well and they had really savored their meals. We almost all chose the Pastitsio lol (The simplest way to describe what is Pastitsio is a Greek version of Lasagna! The traditional pastitsio / Pasticcio recipe has a deep layer of tubular pasta, a delicious, aromatic beef ragu and is topped off with a thick and velvety béchamel sauce.) Their main dishes come with salad or soup and your choice of lemon potatoes, rice or upgrade to Greek fries. Greek people obviously like their carbs! 😆 I chose the village salad ( real Greek salad with NO LETTUCE) which tasted fresh,crunchy and flavorful. That pastitsio? Omg!! So freaking good!! Everything was served piping hot ( extremely important to me). The Greek fries were served with dusting of feta cheese and tzaziki sauce and lemon wedges. I did get a side of gravy. One person had the roasted lemon chicken which they said was amazing. It looked fantastic. And of course one person got a burger and fries which was also declared very good. Its a family run homestyle restaurant and they make really awesome food. All of us agreed we would definitely return! Portions are huge and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend even if i can't pronounce the dishes correctly! 😄

Our favourite place. Update: this was our favorite Greek restaurant. We ordered 3 classic gyros, fries and Greek salad. I was very disappointed with the quality this time around. Thinly sliced tomatoes, minimal tziki, meat seemed dry. The fries were not as abundant and salad was not top notch. I don't know if there's been a change in ownership or Cook but I was disappointed. The meal came hot and delicious it was flavourful and fresh! The service was friendly and efficient and you can tell the owner takes pride in his restaurant. The greek fries were nicely garnished and super tasty!
Had the chicken souvlaki with rice and lemon potatoes. Comes with pira bread, Tziki sauce and soup or salad. Generous portions and everything tasted sooo good!

Me and my fiance randomly decided to order from here for the 1st time and were pleasantly surprised with the quality and great flavors. Highly recommend going if you had not tried before! Very kind staff. Aswell don't skip their desert 😋
I LOVE Nikos!!! I work nearby and can call to place my order and then just walk over to pick it up. Everyone is always so friendly, the food is delicious and Costa seems to know everyone by name. Made my day when he said hi Tammie! 😊

Have come here once in a while over the years. WOW has the quality gone up. It was always good but it was especially good today. New ownership is absolutely killing it. The food was to die for. Very fresh, tasty, and service was great. Important to celebrate places that IMPROVE

We love this Greek restaurant on Corydon, It's small but it can get busy, we normally go for dinner early (4 pm 'ish) and can usually get a table. Portions are excellent, as is the food. Reasonably priced, quick service
