I recommend the octopus and the gnocchi. The octopus reminded me of my trip to Lisbon. Extremely tender.

I visited the restaurant with high expectations after hearing many good reviews and left disappointed. A plus was the light, bright atmosphere in contrast to the bleak sketchy location. The servers came across as hipsters trying too hard to "educate" guests about the food and push particular choices. High-priced small plates for sharing were in my opinion too overdone: every dish was a concoction of excessive ingredients that are fried/roasted/brined/pickled/candied with various sauces/seasonings/crumbles/oils/mayo etc. I would have preferred to see tapas like in Spain which tend to be simpler; allowing the flavor of top quality ingredients to shine through. without trying to hard to make everything "interesting" and "unique".

Glad we made a reservation the day before for lunch at Nola along Tache as they were busy.It was refreshing to try a restaurant in Winnipeg with a fresh spin on Asian fusion with a cozy atmosphere. Our group of 4 enjoyed the chicken karaage, the roasted pork sandwhich especially the black sesame cheesecake and the mochi cake. So flavorful and unique! They also serve cocktails and drinks.Nola is great for lunch dates and will come back to try their dinner menu.

One of the best dining experiences you'll get in Winnipeg. Superbly crafted menu (with a ton of veggies) and executed to perfection.Dishes are meant for sharing, which is great considering you'll want to sample as much of the menu as possible.Highly recommended for a great vegetable forward meal! If you're a party of 2, would highly recommend to sit at the Chef's bar to get a front-row seat to all the action.

Quite the experience at Nola! We had a reservation and once we got there, we were promptly greeted and seated. Our server was very friendly and sociable! I forgot her name but she was great. Now the food, personally, was amazing for my partner and I. I would say that it is Japanese fusion so come in with more of an open palette as some dishes may be more of an acquired taste than others. You can definitely tell how curated these dishes are as well! Our favourite dish out of that night was probably the eggplant one, that was so delicious.

The burger was really good. They have some gluten free options.Didn't realize they reduced the drink menu during lunch. Little annoying, but what are you gonna do?

One of the best restaurants in winnipeg. Lots of vegan options and every single dish is amazing, they will never disappoint you. I love how they create unique dishes with some Japanese ingredients which i’m familiar with growing up. Loved Yuzukosyo risotto, and mushroom karaage is our forever favorite!Dietary restrictions: variety of vegan options

We recently dined at Nola with another couple, and it was an experience to remember! As a group with diverse dietary preferences – one vegan and three meat-eaters – finding a restaurant that satisfies everyone can be a challenge. Nola rose to the occasion splendidly! We shared eight dishes among us, each more delightful than the last. The chefs at Nola have mastered the art of creating dishes that appeal to all palates, blending flavors that cater to both vegan and meat-loving tastes. The presentation of each dish was a feast for the eyes, and the taste was a celebration of culinary excellence. The dessert was a perfect ending to a marvelous dining experience. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and explained each dish that they brought to the table. It's rare to find a place that so beautifully accommodates different dietary needs while maintaining a high standard of flavor and quality. We left Nola with satisfied bellies and the feeling of having discovered a true culinary gem. We'll definitely be returning and recommending it to all our friends. Whether you're vegan, a meat-eater, or somewhere in between, Nola is a must-visit!
