Great One

Been going for years. Truly has become a major disappointment. Your lucky if you get what u order. 50 percent of the time the veal taste like its been in the fridge for a couple weeks and has the worst taste. Last order I got was wrong. Great place to throw your money away.

Egg roll was so greasy it was not edible. The Tough outer layer of the onion was used in dishes when it should have been peeled off and thrown out. Tough skin Made many of the onions rubbery. Delivery was quoted as 1 hour 15, took almost 2 hours and food arrived cold. For 115$ we expected much better quality!

This place was great, but the last time we ordered the food, it was disappointing. They changed the sweet and sour sauce and I now dislike it, they added two new ingredients to the egg foo yung and it’s no longer enjoyable. Our other usuals tasted a bit off as well. Please don’t change things for the worst.

We have been getting food here for over 20 years and it was always really good the last year or so things have been going downhill they have changed how they make things the sauces etc etc to The point where we won’t order from here again. So disappointing because we really loved it. Looks like they have sacrificed quality big time. I think they have new owners. Why change things that were great in the first place it’s like trying to re-invent the wheel.

We ordered May 8 at about 7pm. Food-was ok, just ok, except the dry breaded veal, which was 100% on the edge, of being bad. Over all disappointing especially for the price.

Was a patron for over 30 years but this past New Year's Eve dinner was ruined by the horrible food they delivered. We ordered well in advance and wondered if it had sat around all day. Spent over $130 on two bags of greasy, dishwater noodles, cold and hard lemon chicken, sinewy pork ribs, soggy spring rolls, overcooked vegetables... it was very, very disappointing and I'm never ordering from there again. They must have changed hands because it used to be excellent. I don't even want to give them a second chance. Not at those prices.

The most disappointing Chinese food I’ve ever had the chicken chow mien was limp beige mono coloured mass with chicken slop poured on top. The chicken fried rice was plain white rice not fried in any way with the same slop on top of it egg rolls were extremely acidic and the veal was overly tough not tender at all.

Triple Threat

This was a family favourite. I am quite disappointed by our latest experience. The prices went up, but the quality went down. I’m guessing it’s under new ownership/management and new cooks because it’s nothing like I remembered. Not only was drop off late but sadly found many reviews are correct. Small portions, hard rice, clumpy noodles, over cooked shrimp which wasn’t deveined, and very chinsey with condiments and chicken ball sauce. The chow mein recipe changed.... large pieces of cheap veggies with barely any sauce, the spare ribs were boiled (tasted gross like meat and hardly any sauce absorbed), and our total was over $70 for less than ordering 10 items that weren’t very good. This place will be left as a memory and we won’t be returning. Nothing special anymore about Oriental Pearl :(

ORIENTAL PEARL should have no stars at all! We just felt like Chinese and a family member suggested Oriental Pearl. The worst Chinese food we’ve ever had!Deep fried pork & shrimp overcooked, mushroom rice had 6 mushroom pieces on top not throughout, broccoli & chicken watery, egg rolls are egg rolls, And talk about tiny portions!Spent $87 fed 2 people? Everyone always has Chinese food left over - never again!Best Chinese Food in town is TOY SUN - we will never sway again.
