First of all, the reservation process was very easy and uncomplicated using the open table app. We were well received when we arrived early and seated in mostly empty restaurant as we were one of the first patrons. The service and the food were spectacular and we really enjoyed the Tart flambé, peasant pie and Mulhouse spatzle. The service was great, as always. I generally find the food hit or miss. The appetizers are what I actually like about Peasant Cookery, but the mains seem underseasoned, and not necessarily filling the expectations of what the menu describes.
We haven't been at Peasant Cookery for years but went there to celebrate my son's birthday. It did not disappoint, food was good, including those giant pork chops, drinks were good, felt like putting on an old glove. Monday was $10 martinis, would reorder "Dirty Vodka Martini" for sure. I hope that it's not years before we return.
