The ambience is attractive but fairly noisy venue. The women's washroom was icy cold! I had Steak Frites with pretty good fries. The steak was tough but somewhat flavourful . The sauce was already congealing when served. I ordered a hazelnut crème brûlée that had no hint of hazelnut, rather fruity topping and a light chocolate mousse ‘creme'. Will not return and pay premium prices for mediocrity.
Always a pleasure to visit, from the easy cool lounge to the always airy main dining room. The food and service are always satisfying and memorable - our server James was casually charming as usual and the rest of the staff supported deftly. Enjoy!
Portions were plentiful. Ordered Calamari, it was a bit soggy and sauce tasted store bought. Had to ask for bread. Water service was prompt. Boeuf Bourg, meat was tender but dry and underspiced, no pearl onions, aujus was good. Chicken Spasze had odd spice and was underwhelming. Wine recommendations were spot on and cocktails great. For the price, it did not compare to similar restaurants. Unlikely to return.
