The first time I ordered it was ok so thought I would try again….what a mistake. The items did not even come close to looking like the picture on their site. It was horrible. Szechuan beef $16.47 was thick rolled meat with an awful doughy texture, not crispy, carrots and onions were raw not cooked. It was not spicy but vinegary. To be honest we all thought they were brown chicken wings. Very odd looking meat. The Lemon Chicken Soo Guy $16.47 was also covered in an overly thick battered dough. The lemon sauce was yellow but didn’t even come close to tasting like lemon. Instead had a chemical weird taste. The mixed vegetables $15.04 were ok except for the thick chunks of cabbage that included the large bitter core that was inedible. One super greasy eggroll $2.75 was saturated in grease. As seen in the picture I posted. Containers were full and delivered by Skip the dishes hence the higher prices compared to the menu price. Did come with a container of steamed rice, soya sauce packs and fortune cookies. I have often had basic Chinese food that was on the blander side which I sometimes don’t mind but this was flavorless and gross looking as well as over priced for being chucked in the garbage. Don’t waste your money. Order from somewhere else.

These are wonderful people and came through to turn around my night. I canceled my order on uber eats and uber eats wouldn’t give a refund or help in any way and when I called the restaurant they were so kind to for fill my order. 0 stars to uber, 5 stars to the restaurant. Support restaurants and try not to use uber so much.

Classic old school Chinese-fare takeout…not fancy, but great value and good food. Restaurants come and go, sadly, so there’s certainly something to be said for Peking’s incredible longevity. It’s a testament to their quality…50+ years and running!

I have always enjoyed ordering from Peking. Tonight was a different story. I ordered food to pick up and ordered online. There is an option when you order online to choose the time you would like to have your order ready for. I placed my order at 4:00 pm when I had a quick break from work and asked to have it ready for pick up at 5:30 pm. I got a text saying they had received my order and it would be ready at 5:30. I was extremely surprised when I then got a text at 4:40 stating my order was ready. I phoned the restaurant to ask why it was ready 45 minutes earlier than I had requested per their website, and they just stated they make the orders as they come in and they would keep it warm for me. I asked why they had the option of choosing the time if they didn’t adhere to it and they didn’t really have an answer beyond saying they were busy. So my order sat until I was able to pick it up at 5:30 and it was all cold, the spring rolls were completely soggy and it was very disappointing. Spending 88 dollars on cold unappetizing food was ridiculous. I will not be ordering from them again.

I ordered some special fried rice. It wasn't to my liking, but that's a matter of personal taste. The rice seemed to be spicy hot and I had never encountered spicy hot rice before. The ingredients were fresh and the helping was large. I cannot fault them for that.

07/04/2024 Peking has always been a family favourite. The dishes selected were done by our daughter and son-in-law. Our daughter is vegetarian there ware a couple of vegetarian dishes. The food was very good and packaged well as it is about a 15 minute drive to our place. All the dishes had a lot of flavour and there were ample amounts to ensure we had left over for another meal the next day. The only negative was the tofu dish. I was told that previous times it was ordered the dish was more spicy which made it better. (I never tried it.) Since the order was takeout the only thing I can say is that Peking Chinese food in a previous life used to be a grocery store when I was in elementary school. I actually used to go to the store in a regular basis to get lettuce for my rabbit and other veggies for my hamster. Now there’s some history.
TIP. pay in cash as you will redo a discount. Also don’t forget that if your order is over a certain amount you receive FREE stuff. I ❤️ free stuff.

First time trying and not disappointed! Our favourite Chinese restaurant is in Stonewall. Peking is in par with Sing Fei which is a very hard act to follow! Keep up the good work!
