**🌟 5/5 Stars for Plates 4 Rates – A Flavorful Gem in Winnipeg! 🌟**

If you’re craving a taste of Africa food in Winnipeg, **Plates 4 Rates** is *the* spot to be! Let me start with the star of the show: their **Jollof Rice**. If Plates 4 Rates’ **Jollof Rice** were a person, it’d be that friend who’s *too* talented—smoky, spicy, and impossibly perfect 🍛🔥 This isn’t just rice—it’s a *flavor explosion*! Perfectly seasoned, with smoky undertones and a hint of spice that dances on your tongue. I’ve tried Jollof across the city, and nothing comes close to the authenticity and richness of theirs. It’s like a warm hug from West Africa itself!

But wait—there’s more! Their menu is a treasure of African delights. From tender **chicken suya ** to hearty **of Caribbean and Ghanaian menu **, every dish feels like it’s made with love and tradition. Portions? Generous. Flavors? Unmatched. Your taste buds will thank you (and beg for seconds).

What truly sets Plates 4 Rates apart, though, is their **commitment to customer joy**. The staff greets you like family, remembers regulars’ favorites, and goes above and beyond to ensure everyone leaves happy. now that’s service! 🥰

The vibe? Cozy, vibrant, and buzzing with positivity. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, every visit feels special.

**Final verdict:** Plates 4 Rates isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. If you haven’t tried their Jollof yet, you’re missing out on a Winnipeg culinary icon. Run, don’t walk! 🏃♀️💨

**P.S.** Treat yourself with their **Zobo **—you’ll dream about them later. 🍌✨

Run here. Your taste buds (and your inner food hoarder) will thank you.

**P.S.** If they ever discontinue the Jollof, I’m staging a peaceful protest. With snacks. 🚫🍚✊

They sell the best meatpie and jollof rice with turkey!! You have to try it!

Ordered puff puff and we were unable to eat them. It tasted like old oil was used to fry them.

Otaigbe Tina

Very bad experience, the rice was burnt and very hard, same with the turkey!

Waited more than an hour for my food while I watched three others be served, then the food wasn’t even good. I took their recommendation for a dish too and it still wasn’t good, for $26…

Elizabeth and her team catered our wedding last week, and they truly went above and beyond. We received countless compliments from our guests afterward—everyone was raving about the incredible food! Elizabeth collaborated with us to develop the perfect menu for our special day. She was kind, flexible, professional, and such a pleasure to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better catering team! Highly recommend!!

The jollof rice is the best I've eaten so far. It kinda had a sour after-taste though. I guess it's the sauce they used. That's why I'm giving it a 4 star. but generally, it was good

Best representation of jamaican food in the city. You can’t find better jerk chicken anywhere.

Best Jollof I’ve tried in Winnipeg. Oxtail and jerk chicken with rice and peas is delicious too. Would be better if they served white rice with their peppered ponmo and beef but great restaurant regardless

I ordered the jerk chicken and rice and peas . Having been to Jamaica several times, I was so pleased at the authentic flavours. It did not taste like a restaurant meal, just a meal cooked with love.
