Me and my fiancé ordered jollof rice and puff puff. The puff puff was pretty good really greasy, but the flavour was there the jollof rice with turkey and coleslaw however, was the worst. I think I’ve ever had in my whole entire life, including my fiancé and he is full-blooded Nigerian. It was so spicy even for him and he can eat a lot of spice. We open the coleslaw to have our mouth cooled down and the coleslaw was rotten. When my fiancé went inside, he was judged and was told his food was not made Once he shared that in fact, they did order it and it said it was ready off of the Skip app that that’s when they gave it and we’re really rude about it Really really really disappointed. Next time I’ll just get him to make his. Never coming back please don’t waste your time!!!!

Plates 4 Rates recently catered an event for myself. They were communicative professional and had the order ready early. The food was hot and they provided generous portions. It was moving when the number of trays brought out exceeded my expectations. The crowd at our event left nothing but rice and pease left over, I had to provide information numerous times as to where the oxtail came from as it was a huge hit, also on the location of the restaurant. This order brought our community so much comfort while mourning my late father. They came highly recommended and if I could give 10 stars I would. To the sweet ladies that did up the platters for me, Thankyou 1000 times over and may God bless you and your business in the years to come, Thankyou again for keeping culture, connection and flavours alive and thriving in Winnipeg’s Afro-Caribbean community ❤️ . I apologize for not providing a photo but it would only be empty metal trays 😋.

One of my favorite spots! I’ve tried both delivery and eating in, but I don’t really recommend dining inside—the place is small and the spicy smoke can get a bit much. Still, their Jollof rice and chicken samosas are my absolute faves. I just wish they had a smaller Jollof rice without turkey, since I’m not into eating turkey on the bone. Even so, the Jollof rice is so good, I can’t resist!
