The breakfast tasted good - and it should have - as it cost $64 for two people!! However, we both got gastroenteritis 24 hours later and we believe it was caused by the food consumed here. Sorry but we're still in recovery...

I write negative reviews rarely but this burger was brutal ! ~$80 for one hamburger and 3 beers?? Thank The stars beer has standards and it was good. The hamburger… worse ever. It made for great stories with every blogger/friend and any fellow traveller who may find themselves in the Winnipeg airport. Pack a lunch and drink an overpriced beer.

(unfortunately Avocado toast wasn’t good, tasted like frozen avocado)

I have been to this restaurant many times only because it’s the only one in departures. The service is so bad it’s beyond belief. You’re not finished ordering and they are walking away. Dirty tables, no follow up. Couldn’t be worse!

The server came over to our table and said “how are you making out with the menu”. I said that I was good to order and she said “you can do that on your phone”. I told her that I’d like to add eggs with my avocado toast and she told me “I can only do that if I enter the meal…you can’t do that online”. So I said “okay, can we do that?” And she said “no” and walked away. Why even bother having severs if they’re not going to take your order? We also sat there for 10 minutes before she even came over to the table. Unbelievably bad service. Ended up just leaving as clearly Prairie Bistro isn’t interested in serving customers.
Had a wonderful time. Fast, delicious. The waiters Nick, Ruby and Imelda were super! Thank a lot!

Great experience overall. The pierogi and kielbasa were excellent, especially for airport prices. The beer was cheaper than what you usually find at airports. I liked the service as well. I don’t understand why this place has such bad reviews.
