Go for the kitsch 60s Las Vegas decor factor inside and drinks if you're visiting the city. The food is so so but again, if you like nostalgia and drinking, it will make you think the food is stunning. I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there on our visit in '23 (uninviting) as I am not a regular anymore like I was in the past.

Best T-bone steak we've ever had! So good!! We cooked it to rare & it was perfect!!! The old school vibe is cool, but I would recommend an upgrade to the decor. Great food!! Great service!! Very very good!!

We have a reservation but we arrived early. Asked the front if it was ok, and she was kinda shocked on how early we got there (30 mins early). I even told her we can wait if needed. The look on her face since that interaction until we got seated wasn't ok anymore. My husband even commented on how “snobbish” that person is. And we are there to enjoy our time as we try and rate different steakhouses in Winnipeg. We waited for our food and see if that can make up with the situation. Offered plain bread with a not so spreadable butter, as it just came out from the fridge as per our waiter. Ordered Fillet mignon and Prime rib of beef. Fillet was ok, prime rib of beef was bloody. It should be medium well but it looks medium to me. Do not want to return it as i do not want to be a hassle for others. Soup, mash and broccoli came with it. Soup was sooo salty. Mash is great. The best thing we actually ate there was the broccoli with cheese. I thought it would be great to eat out at Rae and Jerry's but we are not returning and not recommending. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience at Rae and Jerry's Steakhouse! From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were transported back in time to the golden era of the 1950s. The nostalgic decor exudes an old-school charm that sets the perfect ambiance for a memorable meal.We chose Rae and Jerry's to celebrate a special birthday, and it exceeded all expectations. The cocktail selection was impressive, with my wife declaring her whiskey sour as the best in the city, while my Caesar cocktail hit just the right notes. My son raved about his Canada Dry Ginger Ale as well... apparently it hit the right notes as well!Although we forgot to order an appetizer, the delightful surprise of a bread basket more than made up for it. The bread was delicious, setting the stage for the culinary delights that followed. Opting for the soup with our main courses was a wise choice, as the beef barley soup was a hit even with our pickiest eater.Speaking of main courses, both the prime rib and rib steak were cooked to absolute perfection. My wife's prime rib left her with nothing but praise, while my rare-cooked rib steak was a rare find indeed. The quality of the food truly lived up to the restaurant's reputation. What's more, the prices were refreshingly reasonable, with no unpleasant surprises when the bill arrived. The value for the outstanding experience and attentive service was unparalleled. Our waiter went above and beyond to ensure our evening was nothing short of exceptional. In conclusion, Rae and Jerry's Steakhouse deserves every bit of the acclaim it receives. If you're seeking a dining experience that combines nostalgia, quality cuisine, and impeccable service, look no further. We can't wait to return for another memorable meal. Five stars all around!

Came by a couple of weeks ago for a work dinner. Our server was an older gentleman who previously worked at Baileys. We are the customers coming out to eat for a special occasion, and part of the fun is being able to pick what you eat. He kept forcing his suggestions on us and made it difficult for us to order what we had wanted. The old owners also allowed us to order beef ribs in the dining room as an appetizer without making a fuss about it. He said he had to get permission and wondered if we would order actual entrees before going to check. How insulting. We would have ordered more food and continued in the lounge for more drinks had it not been for the poor service. I used to like this place. Under new management, too many changes too fast. Not gonna return

We went here over 20 years ago and the decor is exactly as I remembered it. The food side of the menu is limited. Not much selection. However, the wine and spirits side is ridiculous. We ordered calamari to start. Nothing special considering the 18$ cost. I actually asked my wife if they tasted like store bought frozen. My wife ordered the New York strip loin with fries. Perfectly prepared medium rare steak. The fresh cut fries didn't seem to be. We were sure they were from frozen. I ordered the cheese burger with everything on it and onion rings. The presentation was outstanding. Visually the prettiest burger I've ordered, and I've ordered many. However, when I picked it up and started eating it completely fell apart and I had to continue with a knife and fork. Good flavor and lots to eat.I went to the washroom. Very fancy and clean but very small. Our waitress was very good but seemed disappointed when we only wanted water to drink.Everything was fine except the price. My cheese burger was 34$. Because of the prices and the just alright of everything, I don't think we'll be back.

We sat in the lounge. Classic atmosphere but the tiny round tables are a bit cramped. The food was fantastic. Everything we had was perfect. The server was fine but seemed to develop a bit of an attitude after we requested ketchup for our fries. Water wasn't refilled unless we requested.
