Came here for dinner, used to love this place but the quality of service has seriously gone down the drain.
They messed up my first drink 2 times, I don’t usually complain.
Iced tea was watered down, I sent one back same thing whatever I drank it anyways, the next one was STILL the same.
And for food, I used to come here all the time and get the same dish. This time I come and they say the rice wine vinegar has trace amounts of shell fish in it. So I chose chicken club and the sandwich comes with like 2 inch’s of bread on the top and bottom of the sandwich, it was dry and the thick cut bacon tasted old and was not anything special, it didn’t even taste good.
And at the end of this whole experience I still had to pay for that bread (sandwich)
Overall they try way too hard to be different and it backfired on them.

My boyfriend and I came to Rae’s in December for a birthday dinner, we got the feature “The Grillmore” it was great, couldn’t be happier with our meal. We recently came back for the same exact dish and was overall disappointed, the recipe changed and on top of that they served us a cheaper cut, most likely a roast of some kind, when you cut into the meat it absolutely shredded apart which is not normal for a tenderloin that was advertised as the dish, the peppercorn sauce had mushrooms (which it did not last time). We mentioned it to the waitress, she was absolutely great. The manager came by to speak with us and said that it was not a tenderloin and they will be taking it off the menu for the night. The situation was taken care of completely but I can’t stop thinking ever since then what kind of a restaurant would do that. Seems quite dishonest to your customers to price a dish as a tenderloin and receive a cheaper cut, to me that not right and that’s why I’m writing this review cause I was in shock as to why a restaurant would do that in the first place. We came back for a dish we loved only to not ever return after this occurred.

We had a reservation there this past month and one of the meals for our party was incorrect. The server was super nice and offered to replace it, but we didn’t mind! The manager Brittany then came over chatted with us about this mistake. She was super apologetic and very sweet when explaining the situation and went above and beyond to fix this.
After this experience we will most definitely be returning!

Always a great, friendly, classy little restaurant in North Kildonan. Service is personable and the food feels like it should be coming from a restaurant on Corydon or Acadamy. How did little North Kildonan get a wonderful gem like this? I don't ever have to travel far to get good quality food and a great dining experience. Plus their menu (pun) names are hilarious each and every time whether it be the dessert, the drinks, or the main features I enjoy each and every one.

Amazing dining experience! Service, atmosphere and menu options and food itself were so so good! We got the Slumdog Chili-onaire to start, and what a delicious dish 🤤 For entrees, I got the seasonal House of Carbs pizza and it was exactly as our host had described when we were seated – everything you would want on a pizza on their fresh sourdough crust. No notes. My lunch date got the pick roll and we were astounded at how large the smaller serving size was and what a value it was on top of being delicious! I’m about to order the vanilla bean crème brûlée for dessert and I know it’ll be amazing. I cannot wait to come again and get to try something else.

I am not sure I have ever ordered wings anywhere where I have been served any less than a dozen for an order. Imagine my complete shock when I was served seven of the smallest, greasiest and tasteless (salt and pepper ) wings ever. Very disappointing for a restaurant of this calibre. 🙁

My mother and I wanted to go out for dinner to celebrate my new job and we chose Rae's Bistro. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We had two servers, Monessa and Maddie (the two had to make a switch afterwards) they were both pleasant, lovely and excellent in their service. We started off with Beet Chips, our new favorite appetizer!! Very delicious! For our entrées, I had the Seafood Linguine and it was the BEST pasta I've ever tasted in Winnipeg! Highly recommended if you love seafood. And my mother had one of their features, Root Scootin' Boogie (chicken salad). We both enjoyed our meal and later shared a Pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. The portions are hearty and we really got our money's worth. Thank you Rae's Bistro for a wonderful night, I'd give you 10 stars if I could! We will definitely be coming back here more often!
