Good food and friendly service. I had the clubhouse sandwich.I was disappointed that everything was served in disposable containers. I will believe that Roughage is a Compost Winnipeg subscriber and that all the disposed containers are composted... less than ideal (REDUCE, reuse, THEN recycle). I'll bring my own containers next time (there WILL be a next time).

Meat-eaters, be not afraid, your taste buds will thank you!My boyfriend loves this place and today was the first time I've had their food. I'm not a vegan myself but I'm no stranger to vegan foods. I've even baked and cooked them. But after eating here, I've been shaken to my core! The tat-chos were easily one of the greatest things I've ever had and I would happily consume them for breakfast every day until I die if that were feasible... The vegan queso on them was amazing and we went home with a container (and a thing of cashew pepper cheddar). My boyfriend got the I bagel to differ brunch special and I had a couple bites and it was also incredible. It was spicy, sweet, and the best hollandaise I've ever had!If you're on the fence about checking this place out, leap! You won't regret eating here.

Just realized I've never left a review for this, one of my absolute favourite restaurants in the city!! Vegan comfort food is how most would describe it but I like to think of it as favourite foods that happen to be vegan. No raw fruit and nut balls, or smoothie bowls ... Just tasty, textured, seasoned perfection 😋🤩💕
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was right on, timely and friendly. I will most definitely be ordering again.

The best exclusively vegan restaurant in Winnipeg, Roughage serves up a small, but well executed, selection of comfort foods. I would not say it is budget-friendly, however it is worth noting that everything is made from scratch from the seitan "meats" to the sauces to the strawberry sauce in the milkshake, thus making it worth the extra dollars. Service has always been welcoming and friendly.Bonus that all takeaway comes in compostable containers!

Dragged to Winnipeg because of family. Finally convinced them to go to one of the few vegan restaurants in the area only to find out they closed at 3pm on Saturday. No explanation given and now I'm forced to go to a regular restaurant and eat the salads.
From out of town. Over veganaise sandwiches. Use some cream butter on all food that isn't good even in salads. Friendly staff. Priced a little high. I take Chicago diner anyday.
Food, service and atmosphere: superb!
