Enjoyed the food. Had a salad and then enjoyed a paint party within the restaurant.
Didn't actually get a chance to try the food but loved all the talented singers. AND, the bartenders were as friendly as the localist bar n grill I frequent, so I felt right at home
Also, like Classics, Saffron is a super cool name.
If I had to use one word to describe the establishment, I'd say, very charming.
UPDATE: I've had the lamb and spaghetti twice, the lamb is like 3 mini t-bone steaks cooked to perfection. The spaghetti is always garnished nicely and in a Bolognese sauce. My favourite meal in the city so far. Better than the lamb shank in Buchart Gardens, Victoria, BC, and that is saying a lot.
Not only do they have a slam dunk lamb and spaghetti combo, they also make a mean Pina Colada, I actually had two but I keep eating the cherry before I take the picture (darned ADHD).
Best combo in the city. Also the Karaoke is poppin big-time. I'd say this is the establishment is the biggest competitor with Classics. I go to both for karaoke and they both have awesome food, and karaoke. Both are very clean establishments filled with talented singers and good vibes.

We were there on November 4 of this year 2025. The last time we were at this restaurant it was amazing. It has been some time since we returned. It was a Tuesday night for dinner. We made reservations when we arrived. There was absolutely nobody in the lounge or in the restaurant at this time. We had brought a couple to join us for dinner from Australia. At start, we had ordered two appetizers. One was a saffron muscles and the other was a calamari. Upon receiving these appetizers, I realize that the muscles were dry and the sauce was very thick and pasty. It is not the same as I remembered from our last visit and for the calamari it was presentable and OK. On that note we had decided to order two orders of chicken saffron. One was for me and one was for my guest. The menu said oven roasted potatoes after talking with the waitress they were deep-fried the chicken saffron which is wrapped in puff pastry. I felt for the price that you were charging $32 was not acceptable for the product that I received or my guest I do understand the cost of food and inflation what we receive was one chicken breast cut in half and then wrapped in final pastry stuff with mushrooms once again if you’re advertising saffron sauce, then you must present a good European saffron sauce there might have been 2 ounces of sauce for the plate which is not sufficient and amount for the product that was received. One of the guests has ordered nachos, which were very good and My Wife ordered a Caesar salad, which was very small for the price that you were charging especially it comes with no toast just a Caesar salad and the price for that was $17. Nothing especially with that product. For years now My Wife and I have been talking about saffron to other people saying that we had such a great experience in the previous time that we were there unfortunately this time was absolutely unacceptable considering that there was no people in the restaurant no people in the lounge and the food that came out was mediocre for a $250 bill. We may reconsider to give us another try in the future date, but it is important for me to discuss this with you and hope that your food quality and service do upgrade in the future. PS Ronald Davis.

Wanted to go out for a date night and ended up leaving without eating. Partner ordered the ribs and had a couple of bites and said they tasted like freezer burned cardboard. Said fries were cold. I ordered the chicken parmesan and the chicken was tough and barely any actual chicken under the breading. There was also a hair on top.
I think Saffron's could be a great place to enjoy on Corydon but they need to provide better food especially with the high prices of all their items.
Server was nice but when you're going out to eat you expect some standard on the food served.

Visiting on burger week. I do not eat burger, my family does: they loved the burger! And the salad with the giro was absolutely delicious. No photos, we just enjoyed the food.

Ordered “pan fried pickerel, but it come deep fried!
The manager’s explanation was that the menu said “pan-fried”, and pan is an abbreviation of panko! So it has to be deep fried!
Very disappointed!

If you plan on having the seafood linguini dish....don't. The price is $30 for a bowl of noodles with 4 shrimp and a few tiny oysters. Disappointed
